Asparagus sautéed in a pink cheese sauce
Our first visit to D'Angelo's as we explore our neighborhood. An old-style Italian dining experience with great food and excellent service. The interior is great - the isolation of small groups from large groups makes the place quiet and comfortable. We will be back ...
We were visiting Philadelphia and came across D’Angelo’s while walking around the neighborhood. We ate here once and liked the food so much, we came back 3 days later. It’s very good, well-made Italian food without a lot of fancy ingredients; our kind of food!
Not my first time there and definitely not my last. The good is just as delicious every time. The staff is attentive and fast. Just truly the perfect dining experience, can’t wait to go back!
Great night. Great food. Great service. Great people.
As always, food was amazing. I had calamari over homemade fettuccini and my boyfriend had penne with asparagus in a cream blush sauce. We wanted to lick our plates! I have to find out which kind of Cabernet (by the glass) they serve because it was awesome as well. My boyfriend doesn’t drink before dinner but when he tried my Cab, he wanted a glass. Going back in two weeks for my birthday celebration. Thanks for an awesome date night.
The food and service are always terrific . My favorite place
to go .
Good and service were both excellent.
As ever, the good at D’Angelos was up to their usual excellent standards. My wife had the langostinos and I had Tony’s special fettuccine, and both were delicious. Thoroughly recommend D’Angelos as a true family run business, consistently serving great food.
Two mice were walking the floor around our table. We really weren’t hungry and the owner told us they came from the bakery next door. Never offered even a discount let alone a Comp. So he gets a real review with the facts. Terrible way to eat and even a worse way to treat a customer who finds rodents under there table.
The best restaurant in the city- hands down! Amazing, food, service and hospitality! Feels like family. Friendly and fun bar!
This was our second time eating here. The first time we went for my wives birthday and had good food and a good experience but last night was really not good. Caesar salad was soaked in dressing and the entrees were not good at all, very disappointed. The dining room was empty when we got there but sat a loud reservation right next to us? I don't believe we will be back.
Disappointed by the quality of the food. Calamari was not fresh. Italian sausage was ok but presented like hamburger patties which was not visually appealing. It should have come with a sauce as it was dry on its own. Cannelloni was mushy like it had been cooked previously and then reheated. Chicken parm was decent. The ambiance and service was just fine but the food was a let-down.
Have been going there since it opened many years ago and the food is always outstanding . It is always a fun experience to dine there . It never disappoints .
Food and service was pretty good. Old School Italian Food. Everyone was pretty friendly throughout the service. We would go back again.
A neighborhood gem!
Great dinner and service. Chicken Francaise, Salmon, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and the D’Angelos salad were are wonderful. The owner strolled around playing his guitar. A fun night all around.
One of the best meals I've had in Philly, ever. Can't wait to revisit this local gem.
Not what I expected as the food quality was not there. My pasta meal was undercooked.
I will not return.
Food was good. The owner came over and serenaded us. The service was pleasant as was everything and everyone. A place to have an enjoyable evening.
D'Angelos never disappoints . Food & service is always good in a comfortable/relaxing setting .
The atmosphere was very relaxed, the food was absolutely delicious and I would definitely revisit and try some of the other entrée.
Great food and excellent ambience!
Very good food and atmosphere. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and service was nice where it wasn’t too slow and where we didn’t feel rushed. The end of the meal was great as we were given a free piece of tiramisu plus the owner serenaded us with his guitar. Very memorable. Thanks
Food was good! Waiter was funny! Will definitely visit again!!
Great food, great service, everyone was vert kind and helpful.
I love salmon so that’s what I ordered and I was not disappointed. The salmon with shrimp and asparagus was cooked to perfection. I will be going back!!
Came for Restaurant Week: while the service was great, the food was average. I believe my expectations were too high for this spot so I was disappointed.
Servers are great but the manager or owner is rude! Didn’t want to exchange a meal that smelt like the meat was spoiled and had no sauce in the pasta! Food has no flavor and the start salad looks gross! Would not recommend this restaurant keep heading further into center where there is a wide variety of great options and even similar but better food!
Pretty sure it was 21$ for only 4 cheese ravioli. That’s kind of a rip off. Wouldn’t return
Consistently great food and service
Excellent! We shall return. Luis was a wonderful server and we felt welcomed!
Food was delicious. Staff was spot on and on top of things. Had a great time. We will be back! Thank you!!!
We went there for Mother’s Day lunch! It was so nice and the whole experience was the best! They were so accommodating even when we were running late for our reservation! We will definitely be going back and so would highly recommend!
Everyone we encountered was friendly and accommodating. The meal was delicious, portions were generous. Will definitely return.
We had an absolutely perfect evening here. Wonderful staff and delicious food!
Great food and friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. I would recommend.
Amazing food, great service!
Most of our food was very good. Service was just ok - servers seemed overextended. What appeared to be the owner was out talking to guests which was nice.
Outstanding food and service. The very gracious proprietor out did himself on my Wife’s Birthday when he came out with his guitar and beautiful voice to serenade my Wife in celebration of her Birthday with some songs. She was over joyed and a Birthday memory we’ll never forget.
