About
Excellent as always but very few diners there due to Coronavirus scare. Hang in there Tom Douglas ...
Tom Douglas restaurants are always reliably excellent. Their staff is wonderful and the food is great. The crab cakes were especially delicious! We appreciate all that Tom contributes to our city and his thoughtfulness in all things.
We had a whirlwind day in Seattle after a long flight and went here on a recommendation. It did not disappoint! The fish was amazing.
Dahlia Lounge is a Seattle dining must. The food, service and ambience are what Seattle is all about...
Very pricey compared to what you get. Food is delicious though.
The food was amazing; perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. My husband’s crab cakes were full of crab without a bunch of fillers.
Everything was delicious. The kitchen was very slow though.
Amazing food and amazing waitstaff. We arrived early and they were very accommodating. I would definitely go there again!
Beautiful space. Late reservation, so it was super quiet. Very friendly greeting at the door, also on the part of the bartender (I sat at the bar). Wine was delightful, oysters sublime, beet salad-my favorite, and larger than I expected. Am not sure what all the hype about the tomato soup is about, however. Famous biscuits should be served all day. I wanted to try them with the soup.
Dahlia Lounge is one of my 2 favorite restaurants in Seattle. In 10 years of dining here--often to celebrate very special occassions--I have not had a bad meal. Actually, it just occurred to me that I've never had a "bad" experience here--a difficult or disappointing server, for example. I can't recommend it too highly.
Crab cakes and green salad was to die for! The gnocchi was outstanding as well. Wasn't thrilled with the red wine by the glass.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere. The service was excellent. It was a bit pricey, but the price was not unexpected. I would definitely recommend!
Dahlia Lounge has been one of my favorite places to dine for over 20 years. The experience is perfection, from start to finish. Best Manhattans in the city, beautiful oysters, a perfect steak and the grilled bread salad is divine. Finally, their coconut cream pie is the ONLY coconut cream pie I will eat. 10 out of 10 stars!
Had a great valentine’s dinner. Great service, food, and ambiance for a very reasonable price. Coconut cream pie was amazing/dangerous. Highly recommended.
Excellent service & food
Gnocchi was terrible.
Overall, really good food and amazing cocktails. Me and my wife had the half duck, and even though we split it, it was probably way too much. Delicious though. The beef carpaccio was amazing too.
It was busy night (v-day) so our server was a little rushing. Food was absolute bomb! oysters and the toast appetizer were great. 8oz skirt steak was okay.. but the duck was really really really really good. Next time, I'm gonna get the entire coconut pie instead of one piece!
Nice selection on the Special Occassion Menu for Valentines Day
Excellent service and the food and wine were also great.
As always, a most enjoyable meal! Peter is the best!
We were at the Dahlia for their special Valentine's Day menu which included a flight of champagne! We ordered everything on that menu plus a side of their fabulous fries from the main menu. Everything was delicious - especially enjoyed the king crab appetizer!!
We had a great time.
We both had the fabulously delicious beechers grilled cheese and Toms tomato soup! Ymmm!
Love Tom Douglas's restaurants and Dahlia Lounge was his first one so it's extra special, and the hot donuts are incredibly delicious. Their bakery is right next door so everything is super fresh. The food was very tasty and the portion sizes were just right. We went for lunch on February 14th and as it turned out, it was the last lunch they are serving and they will only be open for dinner now. But there is also Lola's across the street (another Tom Douglas restaurant).
Wonderful, perfectly prepared food, superb service. Our waiter even thought to ask the chef if the dessert was pregnancy safe (it had bourbon in the cream) and she remade the dish for us without us having to give it a second thought. Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.
Really the most delicious food, very good service, distinctive attractive decor (we loved the illuminated fish). Moderately expensive and well worth it.
Celebrating birthdays was an awesome treat always!
Dahlia Lounge food was delicious and prepared just right. The coconut cream pie at the end of the meal is a must. It is very light and tasty. We are looking forward to our next visit there.
Everything was great. That’s why they are a Seattle must go place to eat.
classic Seattle; good bar, good menu, great cream pie! Parking close. what's not to like
We had the perfect lunch: great food, good service with our favorite waitress, low noise level so you could hear each other talk. Plus I love the atmosphere. It is so comforting and calm. I love everything about Dahlia Lounge.
Loved the made to order donuts. Otherwise food was average and the small portions were overpriced. Service wasn’t very responsive and we spent a lot of time with empty glasses.
The service was outstanding! The food is always good but we felt extra taken care of this dinner.
Remains an All time Favorite --
I have not been to Dahlia Lounge in a couple of years but when a friend suggested it for a birthday dinner, I walked in wondering why it had been so long. The ambiance has such a warm, welcoming vibe. You can have a conversation easily because the restaurant volume is perfect. AND THE FOOD -- it continues to excite! Smoked avocado salad, the bread...We split a lot of different delicious dishes, including the duck. The portion was so big I thought they had accidentally given us two. Waitstaff were attentive and gracious. It won't be long until we visit again.
We have eaten at the Dahlia Lounge for years, shared many life-events, birthdays, anniversaries and graduations. I am very sad to share that the quality of the food has drastically declined. Based on the 2 meals I had with my dining partner, I doubt we'd go back. My cod with quinoa and beet slaw so so salty I couldn't anything but the fish. Typically the chefs at Dahlia Lounge artfully combine flavors however, I all could taste was salt. My dining partner's crab cakes will up to usual standards but the potatoes accompanying were lack-luster and uninspired. Perhaps Tom Douglas needs to check in with his staff at this site and actually TASTE the menu options they are serving. I should note - as usual the wait staff was very professional was great, too bad they have to serve such disappointing foods.
great menu choices (brunch), excellent seating, great service. thank you
High prices for breakfast, but the meal and the service was exceptional, so its hard to complain about the cost. Its a Tom Douglas restaurant, so we expected excellent.
I'm not sure why the level of customer service cannot be like this everywhere, but this was a gold standard: friendly, non-intrusive, quick, precise, and attentive.
FYI: this is one of his restaurants that has dropped tipping, so expect a 20% "service charge in lieu of tips" on your bill. I, for one, like it.
We had a wonderful evening with friends and amazing food. What could be better?
Wonderful- excellent service
