Food is always good here. The standard menu is good and the specials are usually outstanding.
A wonderful lunch place on a Sunday in Boerne.
Good service and food. Always a good choice for local dining.
New Years Eve with friends
The food was good, not great. Really wish we could get a cocktail, but the bar only serves beer and wine. We ordered the cheese sampler and left it to the chef to select our cheeses...Gouda, Brie, Pecan Cheddar and Stilton were served. Nothing exciting...again, pretty average. The “red pepper mac’n’cheese” was actually not Mac at all but a baked penne pasta that tasted only like red pepper. It was an average meal, average experience. Nothing to really complain about, but noting to really rave about either.
First time at Cypress. Much larger than it looks from the street.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Getting our food after ordering took a while, even though it was early in the lunch hour. However, our server (Jessie) was continually coming back to check on us and refill our drinks.
Definitely will return to this secret hideaway.
The receptionist was polite, nicely dressed and had a big smile, always welcome when you are going to dine in a new place. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was presented perfectly. My husband who is a fast food lover and doesn't like high prices, found himself loving his hamburger and agreed it was worth the price. The quail I ordered was wonderful. Thank you for a nice evening.
Consistently great food, service and atmosphere. One of my favorite places and I would go more often if I lived closer to town.
Have always enjoyed this spot in Boerne. Good food, good service and good wine list. Nice variety of dishes served up here in the Hill Country of Texas
Very good, food never disapoints. Soup of the day was outstnding. Swordfish with prosvutto was interesting.
A good time was had by all
Wine list was impressive and reasonable
Food was good pork chop and the stuffed loin was a little on the dryer side but tasty
Our waiter was for the most part was on point (a little busy) but had amazing table side conversation
This is our go to restaurant in Boerne
Our dining experience was OK. My wife and I shared the special... a $40 - 16 oz smoked prime rib w/ carrots / green beans and mashed potato. It was not delicious. The restaurant appears to be high end but it did not deliver at least for that meal. The wait staff were wonderful. Service was on target. Will probably try the restaurant again and hopefully the food will not disappoint.
Dined at Cypress Grille to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately it will be memorable for all the wrong reasons. We were seated almost immediately upon our arrival, and greeted soon after by our server.
The restaurant was busy and we heard that it was Wine Wednesday, and that they offer some nice special offers on bottles of wine. We were given water, menus and a list of the specials. so far so good. Our order was taken promptly and then we waited, and waited and waited. We had to ask two other servers for refills. Bread arrived after about 15 minutes. Not sure if they were understaffed but our server seemed to be taking care of quite a few tables all over the restaurant. Food finally arrived and was beautifully plated and cooked perfectly. Since we had to wait, I opted out of ordering any wine, as I was afraid it would arrive in time for dessert. My entire meal was sitting in a pool of oil possibly clarified butter. So although everything was perfectly cooked, it tasted mostly oily. Left at least half of my meal uneaten, too greasy, despite moving some of the green beans and tenderloin to my butter plate to try and let the oil drain. At least my husband said his mahimahi was very good.
Fine dining at a reasonable price! Always a memorable experience.
great food and service, i would like to see the hostess stand back near the restaurant instead of front
door, we walked in and expected to walk toward the back as always, only to meet up with the hostess
where she had to walk all the way to the front to verify reservation and get menus while we stood
there looking silly. The hostess stand has always been near restaurant entrance not the front door,
this new way, uses a lot of time and energy for one person, and it blocks people from entering from
the street safely. Please put it back.
There was a bit of issue between waitstaff and the kitchen. Better communication is needed. It took an hour to get my salad and they forgot the chicken. Also forget to put buns on my husbands hamburger which was shocking. Once food arrived it was good.
Always fantastic. Comfortable. Excellent service, food and wine list. Love this place.
Consistently high level of service and quality innovative specials. Cypress Grille never disappoints.
Great food with wonderful daily featured offerings. Good wine list. Great and friendly staff.
Very nice; wonderful service by Kimberly who was very attentive and friendly. Was rather quiet where we were sitting as what we had requested to visit with longtime friends not seen in a while. Food was plentiful and very good.
Crowded- a full house - good food - fairly inexperienced waiter so not terrific but okay. Good food. Reliable in food quality.
Everyone’s food was different but outstanding
Always a good time and solid food. Lamb was perfectly prepared again.
The Cypress Grill always delights! The food is interesting and oh so very good!
Great place for a date night
We were there for a bachelorette party and they were fantastic
This is a great location, and the serving staff try very hard to make you feel welcome, but are not that well trained. The menu sounds amazing, but then the execution by the chefs falls far short. Pork shank prepared with NO salt, and was tasteless until my wife "fixed" it at home for dinner the following day. Calamari were very chewy. Lamb chops were good, but pork that went with them was TOO salty. The restaurant was not busy when we went there, so that cannot be the reason. This pace has so much promise and Boerne needs one good higher end restaurant....it is a shame the food does not live up to the ambiance
My wife and I met a couple at this restaurant for dinner. Two people ordered the buffalo burger, one ordered the beef tenderloin and I ordered the divers sea scallops. I also ordered a Caesar salad. For dessert, the other couple ordered the creme brulee'; I ordered 3 macadamia nut cookies. The dressing on the caesar salad was not traditional and disappointing. There were two anchovies on top which most people hate. I like them. The scallops were underwhelming. For $33, I expected more than three small scallops that were blackened. The seasoning was fine, but most sea scallops I have had were much bigger than these little things. Since the chef can't always control the size of shellfish, 3 more should have been added to the dish. The atmosphere is the best thing going for this place. We will probably not return since there are so many other restaurants to chose from.
We met some new couple friends there for dinner and it was an excellent choice. The atmosphere is lovely, the noise level is low, so we were able to easily chat without having to yell over any music or other customer chatter. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive to our needs. The food was absolutely delicious. All four of our dishes were excellently prepared and the limoncella sorbet and multi-layer sugar cake for dessert were melt-in-your mouth delicious. Both desserts had an explosion of flavor yet were light and not heavy. The perfect end to a perfect meal. We definitely plan to become regular customers.
We had a table for 10 on Saturday at noon. Great food. Very good service for such a large party. My only comment would be to have more bunch items on the menu. Overall very good.
Exquisitely done, I think Cypress grill is an elegant place to go on a date/special occasion. Great food, fine wines, delicious desserts 🍮!!! We will be going back again and again.
Often you wait person can make or break a meal. Jason did an excellent job, easy to talk with, very knowledgeable and obviously enjoys what what he does. Thanks for a very nice evening!
Food was good. Jason was awesome. I always want him as my waiter
Never disappoints. Always excellent.
Service was outstinding, flavor very good, quality of meat sub standard, when you pay $30.00 to $40.00 per steak you would expect no grizzle ( unable to chew )
We always enjoy having special staff lunches there, but it is difficult to discuss too much business due to noise level. We still go back every year. :)
Have been to this restaurant several times. Had to take a break because it was so inconsistent. Saturday proved again what I mean. Had the lamb chops. So salty I really couldn’t finish one! Told our awesome waitress and she sent one of the chefs over. He said they have a heavy hand on salt. Remade them for me and they were better. Going to give thus place a break again. They need to put that salt shaker away!!
Very nice night and food was excellent. Service above normal..
Service and Food were Excellent, the Pozole was delicious as was the pork shank. Will be back
