My husband and I were there on our recent honeymoon and had the crab sampler. It was the best crab we have ever eaten!
We had a Great time!! The gentleman that seated us is great at his position. He accomidated us immediately with seating even though we were early for our reservation. He is very welcoming and easy to chat with. Our server was Ethen he did a great job making sure we were happy and satisfied and the food was delicious!!
We ate dinner there last night. The food was good but the staff were wonderful efficient, fun, knowledgeable. The restaurant itself fell safe. You could see their care in cleaning between diners, plenty of space between tables. We felt really taken care of. Who knew that feeling safe in a restaurant would be such a high priority, but Cutters more than met that Mark.
Food was delicious and service was impeccable!
The staff were kind and the meal was very pleasant
The positives: Our server was attentive and well informed. Great knowledge of wine once he knew what we were ordering. The buccatini dish was fantastic, noodles cooked al dente with flavorful broth. The not so greats: While the bucatini was a win, the cioppino was a flop. Bland, with no large pieces of seafood that you expect with this type of a dish.
The view of the water is what sells this place, but after dark, if you don't have a view, this place is nothing special unless you have a window table. The dining area was not very busy, yet we were seated next to the primary walkway to the kitchen/bar with a literal spotlight on the table that we had to ask to be turned down. When asked if we could move to other open tables, we were told that they had reservations.......which we had as well. I understand with COVID, that some things are different, but this place was not warm or charming in the least.
Good location and value. The food was good, but not especially memorable. Great service, though. Thanks for being open.
Outstanding dungeness crab legs. I wasnt crazy about the couscous side (it's not really my thing to begin with) but it was very flavorful.
Good food, beautiful view. Covid dampens the ambiance of any restaurant and here was no exception. Overall, a nice date night.
So awesome, and very tasty food!
Menu on Open table had brunch options but the restaurant did not offer any when we arrived. They did do a seafood scrambled off the menu that was not very well seasoned. Two members of the party had steak and eggs which were nice. Dessert and the service were excellent but would not go back based off of the dish I received
The waiter and manager were awesome-as was the food. View was tremendous. The reason I would hesitate to return is the loud rock (not soft rock) music that they seemed to think enhances one’s dining experience.
The Halibut was served on a spicy Jambalaya which was not a tasteful combination. And the $75 Dungeness crab was tasteless.
We didn’t have a reservation and sat in bar, but got a good window seat. Our server as the bartender was great and personable, but busy with others also. Tuna nicose and salmon entree were great. Nice location on the waterfront.
I’ve been going to Cutters for over 30 years. It’s all the right things in a restaurant for me- waterfront, fresh seafood, elegance. We had a 6:00 reservation and arrived a few minutes before. The host was busy helping a special needs couple and courteously took time with them. However, three other parties (including us) were hanging out the doors and into the sidewalk while he assisted them, blowing a lot of cold air in. I feel there could have been a better check in system. He then left them standing there (and the rest of us) while he went and cleared a table for them, sanitized it and replaced the linen tablecloth. He then returned and showed them to their table and seated them. At that point he checked us in (a good ten minutes later) and then asked us to step aside while he checked in the next parties?? When he finally seated us, he could not have been more pleasant and courteous, even offering us a window table. I feel he was doing a really great job, however the management should have had better staffing to accommodate these multiple tasks that he was doing alone. Once seated, our waiter was wonderful- friendly, knowledgeable and well versed in our dietary needs. Overall, we really enjoyed it, but needed a bit of patience. We do understand things are challenging during this COVID recovery period. Food was delicious!
The food was fabulous. The service was even better and delivery was fast.
I absolutely love Cutters! The mood once you step in is extremely cozy and every worker is so welcoming. Our waiter made sure we had everything we needed and their drinks are delicious! Food is tasty with many different-tasting options. Would definitely recommend!
we have been going to this restaurant for almost 30 years, it's a seattle icon, always very good, great views of the sound.
Good food, and views of the sound. We received great service.
Food was not particularly tasteful. Shrimp cocktail was disappointing as shrimp was not very fresh. Coming from northeast, one knows what good and fresh seafood taste should be. Overpriced for food. Drinks were good. Would not go back again.
We had a very nice time. The seafood was great and the view is amazing. The quinoa salad was way too salty.
Really great experience. Delicious food, good atmosphere and the servers were very nice. Ethan served us and he was awesome. Definitely would come back again!
Happy hour is excellent- will come back for dinner
Waited for 45-min for our dinner after appetizer was finished. Finally had to hunt down someone to find it, only to have it delivered with sauce congealed on top. Flavorless sauce. Sent back. Exec chef went back and remade it himself (and took cost off, which was nice of him).
Watched as another table returned the exact same dish we had (with the new made sauce), as steak improperly cooked. Clearly mid-week is not the time to go to Cutters.
Overall it was a decent safe option , very few people
We were celebrating my son’s 21 birthday and he wanted a place that had really good crab. He also wasn’t that interested in drinking so we shared one cocktail, which was fantastic.
Service was very good and we had a lovely time. Only drawback was they were out of several items but that didn’t detract from the overall experience.
We sat at a window table and enjoyed the view and the delicious food!
Food tasted great! The risotto cakes are super tasty! crispy pork belly appetizer was a hit as well! First time visiting the restaurant. Due to covid related spaced out seating we had to wait 15 minutes paste our reservation to be seated since earlier diners were taking longer than expected.
Overall, the food was very good. The quinoa salad was mostly quinoa, very little salad. Sliders were great, as were the oysters. The salmon was slightly over-cooked.
Ethan was very attentive and alert to any needs we had.
Food was good, but service supbar. Went for my birthday dinner and it didn’t feel really special. Just felt like a regular dinner.
Overall a disappointing experience. The tables are spaced well apart but the lighting is misaligned as a result (bright spotlights in our faces). Also, the music was often strange for the environment and too loud. I had an oyster shooter, sushi roll and the pork belly. All were disappointing. To top it off we were charged for the wrong tab which is yet to be resolved. I’m trying to give them a pass because of COVID. Hopefully next time will be better.
Great seafood, especially the king crab legs. Service was great!
Ambiance was nice, we were visiting from out of town and came on a recommendation. Even with the limited menu many items were sold out/unavailable. In fact 3 of the 4 items we were ordering were unavailable. When we made secondary selections my husband received the wrong food. Honest mistake from the waiter, I understand and he was apologetic. It was just the icing on the unavailable menu cake.
Our server was on drugs. She couldn’t hold her eyes open. Swayed when standing still. And was running...running... through the restaurant. We couldn’t get a second beer, butter, bread or anything.
The staff seemed to be very helpful at the beginning and they were very busy this visit. There were 4 in our party and we ordered an appetizer that we had to ask about that they forgot to put in and then one of the dishes had a piece of plastic in it which they identified but it didn't seem to be an issue on their part. Kind of disappointing that they didn't offer any compensation for the plastic in the food or the couple of other things that were asked for and not received. Like I said they were busy, just not that busy.
Food was good- service slow - disappointing they did not have oysters
Very good food and service is fair. They do follow Covid-19 safety recommendations for all customers and food servers.
First time dining at Cutters and I was not disappointed. For starters, I had the best mojito I’ve ever had and tasty calamari. It was happy hour and we took advantage! For dinner, he ordered crab cakes with succotash - an out of the box choice and loved every bite! I splurged for the Wagyu steak and salmon Oscar. Every bite melted in my mouth! Our waiter was out of this world- I wish I could remember her name. We can’t wait to go back our next trip to Seattle.
Enjoyed the food and ambience. Nice view of the ocean and waterfront.
Service was okay, bar service was extremely slow, and food was mediocre at best!
