Great food and ambiance. We went here twice during our stay and both times were great
In DC for an event and stayed at Hyatt. Restaurant was highlight of stay ; waiter, Mehar
Was so attentive to my food allergy, He also made great recommendations.
Excellent food in a pleasant space. Great place to go for dinner with friends when you want to be able to hear the conversation. Really enjoyed the salad and the grilled asparagus. Desserts were excellent as well. Kitchen was helpful in dealing with food allergies too.
The food is amazing. I have enjoyed every dish they have. The price is far specially when you can add a glass of wine.
Went with a small group from work for lunch. You individually order tapas (no sharing), which initially made people worry the portions were too small— not the case! Favorites were sliders, brisket rolls, mushroom tart, tomato soup, and tuna. Service was super friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.
Our Valentine's dinner was amazing! Everything from our wonderful waitress, to our delicious meals made the night perfect!!
I always book this place to get together with friends for lunch who don’t work downtown. The location is convenient, the food is solid with perfect mid day portions and variety, and the price is very reasonable. Plus the staff is very friendly.
Great for business meetings, awesome beers and cocktails. Upscale but down to earth ambiance
Always excellent at Cure. We visited December 25th. My daughter’s birthday. Our server was fantastic. The filet outstanding and desserts very good. An awesome Christmas birthday dining experience.
We came impromptu for Christmas dinner and the food and service were impeccable. The presentation and food quality was outstanding and really was everything we expected and more. Thank you to Marvin in the Kitchen for a wonderful meal, to Johnny & Victoria our dedicated servers who made our Christmas oh so special and Adrian the manager who so willingly accommodated our last minute reservation and ensured everything is perfect. P.S Prime Rib was perfectly cooked!
Picked this restaurant based on reviews, was not disappointed. Met 2 friends for dinner, bar was comfortable, not loud, and the booth for dinner was nice and private....we could hear each other easily. Food was well prepared and delicious, reasonably priced. Wait staff attentive and well informed about the menu. Very nice evening.
We visited Cure for a team holiday lunch. It was a good place for the group and we could easily hear one another.
Cure is a pleasant, quiet spot for a light lunch. The menu consists of small plates which vary from time to time. They are nicely prepared and served -- nothing unusual or haute cuisine, but tasty and reasonably priced.
More lounge and bar than restaurant. Although there is a kids menu, it is not kid friendly. Very accommodating staff, however we chose based on the kid friendly tag. It is not.
Good, but not as great as I remember. Cure was THE spot for a business meal, tasting menu. Maybe the memory outpaces the reality, but the food wasn't outstanding like I remember it. (Mac and cheese tasted like liquid cheese instead of shredded blend. The buttermilk chicken was so small!)
Still, a great value and lots of variety.
Writing about Cure Bistro is like giving away a trade secret. The food, based on small plates, is excellent and well-priced and the service gracious. Luckily, most people assume any restaurant in a hotel, in this case the Grant Hyatt, will be bad so Cure is rarely crowded at mid-day. Don't know what it's like at night. But this is truly a hidden gem.
Cure Bar & Bistro is the best place for lunch in Washington, DC. It's an undiscovered treasure. I have been here countless times--and it NEVER disappoints. The whole concept of small portions is really unique, and the food is magnificent. And it's very reasonable. Of all the places I've had lunch in DC, this is my favorite.
Cure Bar & Bistro is the in-hotel restaurant at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC. As hotel restaurants go, the ambience good, but it does not compare with the best stand-alone restaurants. The food is very good, but the selection is limited. The service was excellent, even though our meal was interrupted by a fire alarm in another part of the hotel.
We were in DC for 11 nights and just wanted some "normal" food. For a hotel restaurant, this was great. Private, quiet seating. Both had the chicken and it was Excellent! Wished we had returned to try the salmon. From trying this place only once, would recommend.
We ate here three times in the past week while staying at the Grand Hyatt. Food was delicious and service 2 out of 3 nights was outstanding. Only negative was one night wife ordered a cheeseburger plain and said specifically “meat, cheese and bun, that’s it.” Server brought burger with added ingredients. When wife asked to send it back, server said if you wanted it plain, you should have ordered it that way.
Lunch at Cure a real crowd pleaser. Excellent value, food and attentive service. Highly recommend butternut squash soup and tuna poke, though all dishes delivered to our table looked and I’m told tasted great.
It was not what I expected, but an excellent dining experience. Limited menu. Bar area seemed lively with a modern city feel. Definitely go for the booth for a quieter ambience.
our waitress memmie was outstanding, she made excellent suggestions and checked on us through out out meal. Food was delicious. i had the filet and hubby had salmon we split a salad and each had cocktail. total price was 114 before tip. yes it is pricey but also understand you are in d.c.
Great waiter and superb food!
What can I say other than the food was mediocre at best and the ambiance was a typical hotel restaurant/lounge and with so many excellent restaurants nearby, this was a mistake. This is over rated.
The food is chunked full of flavor. There is a unique and authentic flavor usually unmatched in the US. The staff are caring and attentive. The setting is inviting after dinner stroll or to sit along the water front.
Our waiter was the best! Great food/bev recommendations. The food was good. Specifically the asparagus was a real favorite. But the mac/cheese and Brussel sprouts were disappointing.
Stopped in here before the Pink concert as we parked under the Hyatt. We had first gone over to Capital City Brewing which was Packed, crowded and Noisy. Since we had a reservation we came back to Cure Bar and thank god we did. We opted to sit at the bar as it was more social. The bartenders were AWESOME. Knowledgeable, friendly, I would hang out with them. Since it was a hotel bar, there were folks by themselves, we even got to talking with them. This is definitely the the type of bar/restaurant I would want to visit if I was traveling alone as it was quiet, yet entertaining. The food was really good. The Tap list outstanding (Local Craft Brews) and the cocktails very good. It was only a few blocks from Verizon Center, and parking below was only $12 via SpotHero. We will definitely return and may make it a regular for pre/post events.
The food selection was great and was delivered quickly. The fried chicken is a must. Get 2 orders. There were vegetarian and vegan options as well. Everything was delicious. Great atmosphere. Exceptional service with a smile.
met friends at the Cure Bar and Grill.. conveniently located, pleasant atmosphere, good food, quiet enough to have conversations.. a good time.. would return..
I have eaten at Cure a few times and happily brought two new people with me (5 in my party). They loved it. Cure's menu caters to all tastes. If you're vegan, you can find dishes, same for vegetarians, fish eaters, and meat eaters. The food is creative, beautifully displayed, and tastes great.
Only restaurant in Grand Hyatt open in the evening. Has diverse menu that allows smaller or larger food and cost options. Food is good, not great. Better to stick with traditional hotel fare. Great bar staff; good table staff. Multi-level dining is not really user friendly. Would think someone will be doing redesign.
Taxi drivers know everything, and ours tried to warn us we would be displeased here. My steak was beyond dry even at medium-rare. The menu is deceiving because accompaniments are not listed with each entrée. Instead there is a separate list of side dishes, leading a diner to believe the menu is à la carte. We ordered sides, which were redundant. The server could have informed us but perhaps she was building a check. This place appears to be a watering hole for drunkard hotel guests and conventioneers. The noise from these ill mannered patrons was out of bounds. (This is an overdue review for a March 18 dinner.)
Great service, good selection of food at a good price. Great value for a hotel restaurant.
Cure never disappoints me, the food, the service, the ambiance are all perfect!!
I work nearby and often stroll to Cure for a very well-priced and tasty lunch. Folks who think hotel food is always inferior should try Cure. It's a great resource in our trendy but also expensive City Center neighborhood.
Lovely place to catch up with a friend. My burger was very tasty, secretly I think I loved the fries more! Our drinks were fabulous— Hot tottie! Chorizo flat bread needed some more sauce or something— it was on the drier side. We were pleased with the service. ‘‘Twas a good evening!
I keep coming back to CURE. The food is excellent and they offer up items everyone knows, but with a bit of imagination and flair.
The wait staff is so good and solicitous. This last time was crowded, but our waitress & the man who helped bring out the food were very much aware of what we might need and asked if we were good, without hovering.
Don't be put off by the hotel setting. This place is attractive, w/ interesting layout that nicely separates diners on different levels and in different sections. And more important, the menu is innovative and the food is delicious. Service is warm and attentive. A great find near my office for business lunch!
This is your average hotel lobby bar. The burger was dry but the half chicken was verynice We were seated promptly however had to wait on a soda after asking for it twice. The wrong side item was provided with the burger. This was not worth the price of the meal
