Great concept. Great food. Attentive service. Will be back.
Prices were good for event. Food was average. Burger was good! Atmosphere was nice. Took forever to get our check. It was late after an event and we had to hunt down the waitress. But overall 4 stars.
This is a really great place. Food is good, service is excellent!
Had an early new year's eve dinner with a friend so a quiet ambiance then was terrific for talking, but things got excited as the new year approached. Food not oytstanding, even from the special menu - we've had better dishes on other regular days. Service very good from moment of getting seated through the meal.
My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely 3 course Christmas Dinner at Cure. The food and the wait staff were excellent. Greeted us with a complimentary glass of hot mulled wine. Waiter was attentive but not bothersome. Didn't rush our meal. Upon leaving gave each of us a couple of really nice chocolates in a gift bag and since we were staying at the hotel offered us another couple of complimentary hot mulled wines to go. We had lunch at Cure around Thanksgiving. They have a menu that allows you to pick a number of several small portions off of their menu. We each got the pick 3. Every item that we received was excellent. Good value for the quality that you get. I will definitely each there again.
I always enjoy coming to Cure. The service is outstanding and exceeds my expectations. The food is superb.
Everything was great we were there last year and it was even better this year we had a great time it was 12 of us and Lord keep us, will be back next year
The food is presented in tasty bits that fill but not stuffs & it is delicious! Staff attentive and reasonably priced! Quick service as well...
Some food items a little over cooked but overall nice experience
The reason for low ambiance score is that we had to be seated in the Cabinet restaurant space downstairs since Cure space was under renovation
Recommend that the Farro with roasted vegetable dish be labeled as an entree due to it size or make the portion size smaller if it is going to be listed as an appetizer. Otherwise it was delicious!
Selected four dishes with the mint ice tea for lunch; each dish was savory in its own delicious way but the "small" plates were larger than understood from the server - 3 such dishes would have been enough for the meal.
Very Nice place and Good food
Fantastic food and great cocktails. Insist on NOT beyond seated on the upper level near the walkway that leads into the hotel-- it was very distracting and unsettling. Otherwise, great meal.
always a great place for a solid good tasting quick lunch staff is extremely freindly
We had a group of 7. Our server was very nice and friendly but we hardly ever saw her. It took a very long time to have our order taken and we probably would have had more drinks, etc. if she had ever come back. Still food was very good and very nice ambience.
Great food and ambiance. We went here twice during our stay and both times were great
In DC for an event and stayed at Hyatt. Restaurant was highlight of stay ; waiter, Mehar
Was so attentive to my food allergy, He also made great recommendations.
Excellent food in a pleasant space. Great place to go for dinner with friends when you want to be able to hear the conversation. Really enjoyed the salad and the grilled asparagus. Desserts were excellent as well. Kitchen was helpful in dealing with food allergies too.
The food is amazing. I have enjoyed every dish they have. The price is far specially when you can add a glass of wine.
Went with a small group from work for lunch. You individually order tapas (no sharing), which initially made people worry the portions were too small— not the case! Favorites were sliders, brisket rolls, mushroom tart, tomato soup, and tuna. Service was super friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.
Our Valentine's dinner was amazing! Everything from our wonderful waitress, to our delicious meals made the night perfect!!
I always book this place to get together with friends for lunch who don’t work downtown. The location is convenient, the food is solid with perfect mid day portions and variety, and the price is very reasonable. Plus the staff is very friendly.
Great for business meetings, awesome beers and cocktails. Upscale but down to earth ambiance
Always excellent at Cure. We visited December 25th. My daughter’s birthday. Our server was fantastic. The filet outstanding and desserts very good. An awesome Christmas birthday dining experience.
We came impromptu for Christmas dinner and the food and service were impeccable. The presentation and food quality was outstanding and really was everything we expected and more. Thank you to Marvin in the Kitchen for a wonderful meal, to Johnny & Victoria our dedicated servers who made our Christmas oh so special and Adrian the manager who so willingly accommodated our last minute reservation and ensured everything is perfect. P.S Prime Rib was perfectly cooked!
Picked this restaurant based on reviews, was not disappointed. Met 2 friends for dinner, bar was comfortable, not loud, and the booth for dinner was nice and private....we could hear each other easily. Food was well prepared and delicious, reasonably priced. Wait staff attentive and well informed about the menu. Very nice evening.
We visited Cure for a team holiday lunch. It was a good place for the group and we could easily hear one another.
Cure is a pleasant, quiet spot for a light lunch. The menu consists of small plates which vary from time to time. They are nicely prepared and served -- nothing unusual or haute cuisine, but tasty and reasonably priced.
More lounge and bar than restaurant. Although there is a kids menu, it is not kid friendly. Very accommodating staff, however we chose based on the kid friendly tag. It is not.
Good, but not as great as I remember. Cure was THE spot for a business meal, tasting menu. Maybe the memory outpaces the reality, but the food wasn't outstanding like I remember it. (Mac and cheese tasted like liquid cheese instead of shredded blend. The buttermilk chicken was so small!)
Still, a great value and lots of variety.
Writing about Cure Bistro is like giving away a trade secret. The food, based on small plates, is excellent and well-priced and the service gracious. Luckily, most people assume any restaurant in a hotel, in this case the Grant Hyatt, will be bad so Cure is rarely crowded at mid-day. Don't know what it's like at night. But this is truly a hidden gem.
Cure Bar & Bistro is the best place for lunch in Washington, DC. It's an undiscovered treasure. I have been here countless times--and it NEVER disappoints. The whole concept of small portions is really unique, and the food is magnificent. And it's very reasonable. Of all the places I've had lunch in DC, this is my favorite.
Cure Bar & Bistro is the in-hotel restaurant at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC. As hotel restaurants go, the ambience good, but it does not compare with the best stand-alone restaurants. The food is very good, but the selection is limited. The service was excellent, even though our meal was interrupted by a fire alarm in another part of the hotel.
We were in DC for 11 nights and just wanted some "normal" food. For a hotel restaurant, this was great. Private, quiet seating. Both had the chicken and it was Excellent! Wished we had returned to try the salmon. From trying this place only once, would recommend.
We ate here three times in the past week while staying at the Grand Hyatt. Food was delicious and service 2 out of 3 nights was outstanding. Only negative was one night wife ordered a cheeseburger plain and said specifically “meat, cheese and bun, that’s it.” Server brought burger with added ingredients. When wife asked to send it back, server said if you wanted it plain, you should have ordered it that way.
Lunch at Cure a real crowd pleaser. Excellent value, food and attentive service. Highly recommend butternut squash soup and tuna poke, though all dishes delivered to our table looked and I’m told tasted great.
It was not what I expected, but an excellent dining experience. Limited menu. Bar area seemed lively with a modern city feel. Definitely go for the booth for a quieter ambience.
our waitress memmie was outstanding, she made excellent suggestions and checked on us through out out meal. Food was delicious. i had the filet and hubby had salmon we split a salad and each had cocktail. total price was 114 before tip. yes it is pricey but also understand you are in d.c.
