One of my favourite restaurants. Everything was outstanding!
consistently a good, drop-in place. Tasty food and attentive service
I absolutely love this place. Food and service is amazing every time! You must go here!
Oliver is an extremely hardworking, efficient and professional worker. The other worker is efficient and pleasant too.
Our food was delicious and prepared nicely done and it was pleasant to have a table outside.
Great neighborhood place. Owner Olivier is very friendly and good value too.
very personable service, great food, pleasant outdoor seating
The onion soup was the best I've tried in a long time, and I was amazed how can simple fried chicken be so "french"... Delicious!
Great! Solid food, served by an owner who really cares. Awesome to see tables on the sidewalk and a full dinner service!
First time going, it was great! The food was perfect, fast and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Love the decor! I would recommend 👌.
Curbside cafe is always a treat. Excellent food and excellent service.
The sidewalk tables are great. So happy Curbside is able to have outdoor dining and that's it safe.
Very good lunch food - chicken salad, cobb salad, burger. Very casual sitting outdoor on sidewalk due to COVID, will want to try indoor next time. Service was not rushed.
Curbside has been a long time (decades long) favorite, and is quaint, reasonably priced, and amazing food !
Table outside on busy street. A little chilly so we asked waiter to turn heater on.
Waiter very pleasant but heavy French accent. Not the easiest to understand. He kept asking if we wanted drinks. And asking again. And he was very “wound up” like in a rush. So this did stress me a little. The food was delicious. The seating outside okay. Not that comfortable really. Simple kind of rickety chairs and tables. For the cost seems the furniture could have been a little better. Overall good. Best was the food.
Olivier Perrier has made every effort to provide an excellent experience for us, his longtime and new patrons. I have had the joy of knowing him for many years, and was delighted to join a friend for a lunch-visit at the Curbside Cafe earlier this week. Olivier has set tables outside in front of his restaurant complete with white linen tablecloths and napkins -- very elegant. Eating outside in public is not my first choice, but it was well worth it. The food, of course, was excellent. That goes without saying.
One of our rare ventures outside during this time of COVID. We were on the street, but who cares? We had a heater, good food, and lovely service from the owner. A very plentiful salad with pears, grilled lamb chop special, and chicken piccata w/pasta. The finish was an outstanding bread pudding. We were very happy. Thank you Curbside Cafe.
Curbside Cafe always delivers a great dining experience with tasty food at a reasonable price. The service is top notch and it feels like a community establishment with international influence.
for all the years they have been open - consistently good
This neighborhood gem never disappoints. Brunch standouts are their french toast, pancakes, and eggs benedict. Dinner is exceptional as well. And the owner is one of the nicest people you'll meet. Highly recommend. Expanded outdoor seating (dare I say "curbside") at the moment to comply with coronavirus restrictions. Treat yourself to a restaurant visit at this lovely spot.
Food was good and service was prompt and friendly.
Tiny restaurant with great food and service. Live the seafood pasta and Cobb salad!
The food and service are excellent. Very cozy place.
Food was good, as it always is. But the restaurant was short-staffed for the huge crowd that day which made the noise level & the service less than what I am accustomed to at Curbside Cafe.
A neighborhood gem. Nothing fancy, but consistently a good meal at a fair price.
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants tho it seemed a bit short staffed on our last visit. As a result it took a while for anyone to attend us after being seated tho we were compensated with extra bread n generous drinks.
Main caveat in otherwise excellent meal is that the steak I ordered super super super rare came more medium rare. So that was really disappointing. Otherwise eggplant remoulade and chicken scallopini were well received and consumed with gusto. The creme brûlée was divine. The bread pudding a bit too sweet and hard for my own taste but others at the table did not let any go to waste.
We love Olivier.
This is a fantastic spot for a date night out, great all around.
Went here for SF Restaurant Week 2020 and this place made me want to comeback again and get everything on the menu. Food was Amazing!!!
Great food in a small, cozy spot.
Service a little slow but only the owner was waiting tables. Salmon pesto sandwich outstanding.
Dined here during restaurant week. I had the chicken piccata which was very flavorful. It wasn't overly lemony or too much sauce which other places do. Struck a great balance of chicken, sauce, and pasta. The salad was amazing with a great balsamic vinaigrette. For dessert I had bread pudding which was very good. It was different then most I had in the past as it was shaped like two small slices of pie drizzled with cream sauce. I would recommend this place for a laid back reasonable place. Definitely reminded me of a trust French bistro.
The best steak I've had in years, cooked perfectly. French fries were fresh and hot, and the steamed vegetables were colorful and appealing.
Charming little bistro, better than most we've visited in Paris.
With all the restaurants in San Francisco, it's still hard to find one this good. Amazingly, it was also reasonably priced!
Small friendly neighborhood restaurant, with good food at reasonable prices. Recommended. Be sure to check out the specials.
The food was good, nothing special. The service was great. The restaurant is very small and, even though we had a reservation, we had to wait for a while before we were seated.
Reserved a table for 3 at 6:30pm on Christmas day. Arrived at the restaurant at 6:20pm. The restaurant was packed with a number of people waiting outside. There was only one waiter and one bus person working. It was a mess! We weren't seated until around 7:10pm. One group of 4 who were seated before us told me that they didn't have a reservation, that they had called and were told there were no reservations. The waiter never checked with anyone regarding reservations. The restaurant was totally understaffed resulting in very poor service. When we finally got our food, the meat was room temp the vegetables were cold. On the positive side, the dinner did taste very good. I've eaten at Curbside many, many times over many, many years and I've never before experienced anything like this; it was a disaster. NOT a very Merry Christmas at Curbside!
Tiny but good food at reasonable prices so we go there often.
Outstanding server / maitre d who I believe is actually the owner of this place. Such a cute little cozy place with an old world charm
Our second Christmas at Curbside. Arrived on time for our 7:00 pm reservation Christmas Eve but had to wait 30 minutes for a table. This is a very small, cramped place when all tables occupied. Food very good and wine reasonably priced. Single staff member gracious and efficient but obviously overworked.
Still one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco. Food and service are always excellent!
Waiter was awesome, and clearly very busy. Food was great!
Service was spotty and slow as they had only one waiter for the restaurant. Food is good, esp.the French onion soup. The place is small so reservations are advised esp on weekends.
We got reservations for Thanksgiving. It was terribly unorganized and short staffed. We waited for over 30 mins to sit and if I didn’t flag down the waiter and interject myself we wouldn’t of even been noticed. Waiter was not amused that we didn’t order wine. Food was expensive and mediocre. I often have good experiences there but I would recommend they have appropriate staffing for when they book a full house.
We have eaten at Curbside several times and at least three holiday diners. Ambience, service and dinner was excellent in the past. This time we were a bit taken back because, around 6:00pm I counted eight people waiting for tables on the inside and three more on the outside. One family of 5 wheeled in a very large baby stroller/sleeper (the baby was sleeping in it). With so many people standing waiting for a table and with the baby carriage in such a small restaurant, it was impossible to enjoy our dinner. All eyes were on the lucky diners that had a table and were served. Please next time have your staff (one waiter, doing it all) more organized (he didn't ask us for our names until we were leaving). I noticed one couple sat at a window table for four. The waiter was clearly overwhelmed and doing his best and certainly on such holidays, there should be two full time wait staff. Every once in awhile someone from the kitchen would come out and help out.
