Everything was as expected. Would have been wonderful for the waiter to discuss the cheese board pairings with the drinks as experienced in other estates.

As always service and food were excellent. Food was all perfectly cooked and our server was friendly and attentive to us. We celebrated our son’s birthday and couldn’t ask for a better evening.

I recently dined for the first time at Oaklands at The Riverbend Inn. I had a 4:00pm reservation to fit between Shaw Festival performances, so it was not busy. The patio looked lovely, but it was windy and somewhat chilly, so I stayed inside. The prix fixe menu provided a good variety of choices. I chose the Smoked Salmon as my starter, Beef Short Rib as main, and Chocolate Torte for dessert. I was very happy with all of them, as was the wine selection.
