- NNanciSt. Louis •19 reviews4.0Dined on May 6, 2025This is my first time eating at Madrina. The atmosphere and decor are very nice and upscale. The service was good. Based on some of the previous reviews I read, I ordered arancini and whipped ricotta for appetizers. The arancini was the hit, but the whipped ricotta was just so-so. It needed more flavor, or maybe just more honey drizzle. Chicken and veal parmigiano were excellent. Lobster ravioli was okay, but I probably would not order it again. Margherita pizza was a big fail. The crust was completely soggy, so there is no point in reviewing the flavor after that. Overall, it was a nice experience, and I would go again, but I would be careful in what I ordered.More infoMadrinaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Webster Groves•4.5
- PPatrickSan Francisco Bay Area •21 reviews4.0Dined on May 6, 2025The atmosphere was great. Outdoor table in full shade, setting sun, mild temperature and comfortable noise level. A perfect Spring evening dinner in St. Louis. I had cioppino which was “ pale”. There were lots of shrimp and some pieces of fish. There were no clams, mussels or crab meat. There was no significant spice flavor. I could see no specks of green indicating basil, thyme or oregano. I did not sense even a hint of garlic. The chef at the table first sniffed then tasted. Her word was “pale”. Everyone else loved their selection of salmon and others had crab cakes. It seemed especially busy in the bar and the kitchen with long wait times for drinks and our meals. Our server got one of three checks correct on the first pass. We have had good food and service in prior visits and will return.More infoRobustPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Webster Groves•4.3
