- AAntonellaVIPCork •8 reviews5.0Dined todayScuderie Italia is hands down one of the best pizzerias in San Diego! The food quality has drastically improved since Gimmy the pizzaiolo, took over. His pizzas are absolutely delicious! each bite is packed with flavor and made with the finest ingredients. We tried both the Roman and Neapolitan styles, and they were incredible. The Capricciosa, Cheese and Pepperoni, Margherita and Cotto e Funghi pizzas were all outstanding, with perfectly crisp crusts and delicious toppings. A special shout-out to my friend Caroline, the restaurant manager, who is the sweetest as usual :) Her excellent service truly added to the overall experience. And to top it off, the Creme Brûlée for dessert was simply the best we've ever had rich, smooth, and perfectly caramelized. Scuderie Italia never disappoints, and we can’t wait to return!More infoScuderie ItaliaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Pacific Beach•4.8

We bring all of our out of towners here — they love it too!More infoThe Veranda RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Californian• Fallbrook•4.8
- CCarlosSan Diego •1 review4.0Dined 2 days agoI dined at La Puerta around 530pm on a Wednesday which may have contributed to it's mellow ambiance. The service was quick and to the point but felt that the server had my best interest in mind. Once we ordered, the food arrived quickly and the presentation was very nice. The food quality was exceptional and the added 'Rajas' or sliced peppers as an additional to the rice and beans on the side make the experience feel genuine. I'd just returned from a month long stay in Mexico City and my only point of constructive criticism would be to revisit the tortilla for the tacos. In an authentic Mexican restaurant, you wouldn't find a thin corn tortilla but rather one made from a tortilla press. I realize this may be more work for the kitchen staff but I think it would go a long way. Will definitely be returning!More infoLa Puerta Mission HillsPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Banker's Hill•4.5
- MMaddieSan Diego •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoDevin was a great waiter! Explained everything, as it was our first time, very knowledgeable on the menu and how we should go about it as we had a larger group. Getting the full experience was what we wanted and we were able to do that. Everything was fresh and delicious. We got a cheese he recommended and it was a bit strong for us, had wine in it, so he took it back and gave us a new one. Overall a wonderful experience that I will continue to recommend.More infoThe Melting Pot - Gaslamp QuarterPrice: Very Expensive• Fondue• Downtown•4.6
