My husband and I live near Iris, and it is our favorite place in our neighborhood. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding, the ambience is ideal. The dining room is sleek, but not loud. Iris is a hidden gem near the theater district with its very non-touristy atmosphere. We especially like the bronzino and the Greek salad. The pita is delicious—puffy and warm, right out of the oven. And the flat bread is delicious—the clam flat bread is our favorite. The servers are very professional, yet warm and welcoming. We highly recommend Iris!

Nice ambiance. Service is friendly but need to be more attentive when our water glasses have been empty. Food was a hit and miss. Calamari, chicken shish, and grilled salmon were good. The Adana kebab was tasty but dry. The octopus was not fresh. The $32 salmon portion could be bigger. Three of us dined and totaled $161 with gratuities.

Having eaten very well at Dervish’s other location I am happy to report that the menu and food quality are on par. Equally good was the service and recommendations from our waiter. The only disappointment was the lighting in the restaurant which was jarringly bright and which did detract a little from the otherwise pleasant decor.

Friendly and courteous servers, the steaming hot pita bread is a revelation! The mixed player of appetizers is so delicious! This was my second visit and I plan on returning again.
