Food and service were excellent. Tables were ridiculously close together. So close that I could hear the couple next to us who were clearly on their first date. Nobody wants to dine like this. I couldn’t even get to my seat which out without knocking over things on the table next to us. Good thing no one was sitting on that side!Please consider spacing out the tables a little bit. Would not return only for this reason.

Took the family to Olar tonight to celebrate two birthdays. The service was beyond great, our waitress was very helpful and went above and beyond. The food was amazing and the service was better. Portions are huge and we way over ordered but I wouldn’t do it differently because I’m not sure what I would eliminate.

Alto was terrific! I wasn't sure what to expect, but the drinks were great (I went for margaritas, my wife had cosmos) the "snacks" were good-sized portions, actually and really good! Very imaginiative menu. But best of all is the venue itself- we started out on the deck, with a just spectacualr view, but as thunderstorms came in, we all migrated indoors to the lounge, which has this great Jetsons/airport bar vibe to it. Great first visit to Montclair!

Tuna Tartar and carrots with goat cheese and Macademus nuts were delicious.
