My girlfriend and I went to Sunda on a weekday to finally celebrate our anniversary. upon walking in we were thrilled with the ambiance and theme of the restaurant: it was vibrant and felt like walking into a tropical paradise. We had made reservations and were quickly seated at a table near the front of the bar, which was packed with people. The menu is clear and easy to read, and we got a roll to share as well as the crunchy hamachi, which was two pieces of nigiri but honestly worth it. it was sweet, a little bit of spice, crunchy, and they put a good helping of the hamachi on it which was nice. We also ordered the panang short rib- which was delicious, rich and warm. there is plenty leftover for the next day. my girlfriend got the beautifully cooked massaman scallops, which was light and herbal. we didn’t end up getting any dessert because we were so full but it looked good. I would go here again on any day of the week.

Food is always great there. Had a great time. Our server, Sergio, really took care of us well.

This was my first time at this location and it was definitely an experience. Emily was very friendly and kept us laughing all evening. We all opted for the Taste of Kona Menu for only $39 per person. I started with the small Asian salad which was topped with the best soy honey dressing. For my entree I had the Lemon Garlic Penne with shrimp and it was a great dinner option without being too heavy. Dinner isn’t complete without a cocktail so I went with the Patio Bubbles because who doesn’t love vodka and Prosecco ! To end the evening I had the double stacked brownie for dessert since I’m a huge chocolate fan! I still can’t believe this deal was only $39 for everything that was included. Great portions and I left full and satisfied. Even though it was a Sunday evening, it wasn’t very busy or loud in the dining area. I’ll definitely be back to this KG location.

The food is very fresh and the spices and sauces used on the dishes perfectly enhance the flavors of the entree. Best Thai food in Sarasota. Our waitress was very good at explaining all the dishes and spice levels. We will definitely return.

Just a small complaint, not enough to keep up from loving this place but we couldn’t have a heater outside because they were out of propane so just making sure they are filled and plentiful would really step up the situation. We love Jpan. Always a family favorite.
