Japanese Ramen and Sake Bar. Miso is a paste made from fermented soy beans and barley or rice malt. It is traditional Japanese seasoning and used in a range of dishes from soups, to glazes, to dips and pickles. Miso is high in protein and contains a range of vitamins and minerals including B12, B3, E, K, iron and calcium. About miso ramen: In 1923, Chinese immigrant chef Mr Wang started work at the Takeya Café near Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan. He developed his own noodle and soup dishes that would appeal to the Japanese palette. His dishes were so successful that they were copied and in 1951 Ramen Alley in downtown Sapporo became nationally famous.     There is an extensive menu here, so even if you have never eaten Japanese before, you will find something for everyone. Try the Pink Cloud cocktail...it's delicious! We celebrated a birthday lunch here and spent the rest of the day talking about what a great experience we all had! We loved the decor and the friendly staff and of course the well-presented and delicious food! We have already recommended this gem to several friends and can't wait to return!

    Authentic Japanese curry - teamed with the crunch of Katsu makes for a delicious tasty meal. Can add the option for a minimal fee of 3 side dishes that compliments the overall experience of dining at Kare. Staff were attentive and lovely . Will definitely be coming back!

    By far one of the best restaurants in Melbourne. We rocked up on a Monday evening at 8:45pm, late to our booking 8:30pm, in which we thought the restaurant closed at 12pm but no- it closed at 9pm! So automatically I thought they would apologise and say that we had come too late or give us a time of which we had to leave but instead they catered us, looked after us and told us to take our time. Lucas, the manager and our waiter was so very accomodating. Midway through the dinner, we (me and my date) were the only ones in the restaurant. Was truly an experience I am very grateful for, and all the food was 10/10. I do recommend the ebi mayo, okonomiyaki and yakitori AND the HOT CHOCOLATE - it's one of the best I've had. No joke. 100% recommend.
