Best Steakhouses in Hawthorn

We had a lovely server, who had clearly read our booking and straight away asked who was celebrating their birthday. She wished my daughter a happy birthday and then referred to her as the birthday girl for the rest of the night which was cute. The service was quick, as soon as we were seated we were offered menus and a drink. Drinks came out 2 minutes later and as soon as our other guests arrived she was right there to take their drink orders. The food was lovely and very generous servings, some of us struggled to finish them. The dining room was comfortable and cosy with a nice vibe. The space was very clean and nicely decorated and each table was set with glasses, water, cutlery, salt and pepper and vases of flowers. The service throughout the night was great, we were never without a drink and were not left looking at our plates at the end for too long. As soon as others were leaving, the staff were quick to clean up their tables. Even staff that didn't serve us, farewelled us on the way out, which is always a nice touch. Well done Grosvenor Hotel, we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Food was just ok. Ordered porterhouse steak which was ok and prawn linguine, which was average. Dessert wasn’t bad. Service and ambience were really good though. Staff attentive and a nice intimate spot. Would probably only return for drinks.

What a great experience here! The food was delicious, the service was very good and we had a lovely meal overall. It was a birthday meal and our party brought our own cake, the staff here even decorated it on a plate and sang for the birthday.
