Best Steakhouses in Hermosa

We really enjoyed Formento’s ! We came in for the early restaurant week , this was our first time here . Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. Our waiter went above and beyond to show us a great experience. The ambience was breathtaking taking and I enjoyed the dimmed lighting . For me it was a 10 out of 10 can’t wait to go back and enjoy their regular menu !

This was a lovely evening enjoying not only the food and drink, but the environment and service was superlative. We were first time visitors and enjoyed the steak flight, specialty cocktails and the empanadas appetizer with chimichurri. All very well prepared, perfect temperature and service was extremely well-paced.

Six buddies and I had a great time her. The food was old time Italian in a good way. We started with appetizers which disappeared as fast as they would serve them, so good. Our main dishes from pork chops to pasta dishes were awesome. Deserts were lovely. Would recommend this restaurant to my friends who would appreciate the fine food of the old Italian Chicago neighborhoods.

Absolutely exceeded every expectation we had for this place. The food was great and service even better. Wedge salad with pork belly was a sleeper favorite of ours. The octopus and NY Strip were also delicious. We also had the waygu pasta which was phenomenal. Highly recommend checking out this Lincoln park gem.

We decided to try this place for my wife’s birthday. Our meal from start to finish was fantastic. Our waiter, Wesley, was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. I highly recommend the smoke stack old fashion, which is made table side and offers a unique experience. For appetizers, we tried the cold platter, which again, was delicious but not overfilling. Wesley recommended the 22 oz ribeye-fantastic. They offered to precut the steak so it was easily split between two people. When ordering sides, I highly recommend ordering half orders so you can try multiple. It was the perfect size to split between two people while not feeling overwhelmed with the amount there. We ordered the mashed potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, and Mushrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed each of the sides but highly recommend the mashed potatoes. Again, from start to finish, we were in awe by their service, the atmosphere, and attention to detail. They went above and beyond to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a card signed by the staff as well as a personalized menu. We will absolutely be recommending this restaurant to anyone visiting Chicago and are already planning to return to Swift and Sons again.
