Best Sri Lankan Restaurants in Smiths Gully

First time to this family run institution and wonder why I haven't been earlier! Great and interesting flavours/spicing, warm service. A bit of a hidden spot in Kew and deserves to be busier.

It may be surprising, but the four curry dishes we ordered were totally different in flavour and texture each being absolutely delicious. Service was prompt and friendly, with a minimal wait until the food arrived. While not extensive, the drinks menu, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, provided sufficient options for everyone in our group. The cost of both food and drink was extremely reasonable.

We decided to go to Oydis for a quick drink and early dinner but we saw the monthly special was on and stayed for the hoppers. We were easily accommodated in the dining room, mulled wine was lovely and the tasting menu delectable. Service is always a high standard and the selection of food and beverages unique in Ashburton. No need to head into the city!

I am a regular customer and as a farewell present I invited two of my Indian friends To experience Sri Lankan food and they enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the restaurant very much.
