Best Southern American Restaurants in La Villita

The food is excellent! Service is incredible, and the overall dining out experience was amazing. The dishes were very tasty and we will definitely be coming back for more!

I always have a great experience at Meadow, and this time was no exception. This was a business meeting so taking two colleagues there for the first time and they really enjoyed it as much as myself. Ann greeted me and took great care of us throughout the lunch. Ann's was very cordial and friendly while being very respectful to not interrupting our business conversation - she's super and big reason why I enjoy coming back to Meadow. Great experience.

I loved Southerleigh Haute South. Very modern farmhouse with southern comfort food. The fried chicken was fantastic. The gumbo was very good, although I like my roux to be a bit darker. And the jalapeño cheese grits: divine. Our server was great—very attentive. We chose the lunch special and asked to trade out fries for grits (my daughter) and coleslaw (me) and they charged us for that, even though those sides were priced the same. I was okay with that but would have liked to be forewarned. All in all, I highly recommend and hope to try the happy hour sometime.

The food was delicious. Everyone at the table said their food was flavorful and very enjoyable. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our time in the restaurant.
