What a fantastic experience we had at Virgil’s…never had the honor of trying gullah cuisine until now…goodness it was good. 👍 My partner and I elected to order a series of starters rather than a dinner…it clearly gave us a wide selection of their cuisine. So, a sampler platter, fried oysters (orgasmic!), okra gumbo and collard greens came to us piping hot. Plenty of food for two. Gotta say that everything was over the top good…even the collard greens…although historically not my cuppa tea…were great! Oh, their cocktails were to die for…try the Yella Boi…fantastic. Service was wonderful too…kudos to Montel our server.👍 This is authentic soul food in an authentic setting. Highly recommend for sure!

Virgil's Gullah Kitchen & Bar - Conyers was a fantastic surprise! My family and I were celebrating my son's birthday and the food was delicious! I had to fight my granddaughter for the last bussin corn muffin. The sammen balls were awesome and I didn't even get a fried green tomato. And those were the appetizers! I definitely recommend the fish and grits w/gravy. Everyone was so nice and Tee was a phenomenal server. I told her I was coming back without my family and I live in Athens. Don't sleep on Virgil's. Get there early. You won't be disappointed.
