Masuya Restaurant is located in a building, which has been designated as a cultural asset, on O’Connell Street in Sydney. This is the same place as the office of Kanematsu Gosho, the pioneer of Australia – Japan trades, was situated in 1980. Masuya Restaurant opened in 1993, then full renovation was implemented in 2006.The approx. five meters long sushi counter, designed by architect Robert Toland in ‘kabuki red’ with an idea of the stage of kabuki, has since fascinated not only local Australian customers but also various people with different backgrounds.A showcase displays more than 20 different sushi ingredients everyday including locally produced fish, which is purchased on the day.     The food is exceptional and the service excellent! There are so many staff members it’s always easy to get attention. My only feedback would be the wine and drinks could have been served with dessert and also poured for us more regularly.The bisteck was outstanding and all the food really delicious! We had a fantastic birthday celebration for my husband today!

    Food was so fresh and tasty. We had the shared set menu (also great value) that was plentiful and gave a great variety of flavours due to fine preparation. Service was very warm and friendly and we look forward to the dining at Fich again.

    The food was exceptional – authentic Italian flavors that transported us straight to Italy. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the wood-fired pizza was simply divine. The wine selection complemented our meal perfectly, and the desserts were the perfect ending to a fantastic evening.
