Best Seafood Restaurants in Chester

We have never had anything but an outstanding experience at J. Gilbert’s. Always consistently excellent and lunch was no exception. They are only open for lunch in the month of December - wish it was all year!

Thought the locally harvested oysters were a bit expensive

First time at the buffet. Overall the selection and quality of food was very good. However, some of the items from the heated serving trays were lukewarm. The selection of desserts was mainly of bite-sized cakes and pumpkin pie. Coffee served at our table was consistently lukewarm. Mimosas were very good. We would return for another visit.

Liv’s oyster bar Is always very good. We come for years. The menu changes continuously, which is nice. They always have a surprise with a new dish. Great atmosphere. The drinks are also very good.

We had a lovely anniversary dinner here. We were seated promptly and then were attended to at our own pace. We wanted to take some time to sip cocktails and think about the menu before rushing into anything and Julie, our server, made sure we had all the time we needed. She was attentive when she needed to be and left us alone when we wanted to be left alone. It has been a long time since I've been in a restaurant where they weren't waiting for us to leave so they could seat another table. The food was excellent, always too much food though, and we couldn't take it with us because we were going to a concert after dinner and had no where to store the food. Julie capped our evening with complementary glasses of champagne to toast our anniversary. And the the Irish coffee was just as I like it which is difficult to find today.
