We recently checked out the stunning new One BI and were admittedly a bit nervous after reading some early reviews. But we’ve been vacationing on Block Island for years, so we understood the vibe—and we were eager to try something new. Knowing they had just opened, we went in with tempered expectations… and were genuinely impressed! The space is gorgeous—just as others have mentioned. Every detail was thoughtfully designed. We were warmly welcomed by Coco, who brought us to a beautiful round table tucked in the corner. The nautical touches in the décor and the elegant table settings really elevate the atmosphere. Our server, Amy, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. Yes, it’s a steakhouse on BI, so prices are on the higher end, but we went in expecting that. We made a few special requests, and they were all accommodated with no fuss. Cocktails were spot-on, and the steaks came out exactly as ordered—perfectly cooked and flavorful. Service wasn’t lightning fast, but we didn’t mind one bit—it gave us a chance to really enjoy the full experience from start to finish. If you’re in a rush or looking for a huge menu, you might want to wait a bit. But if you’re up for a relaxed evening and open to trying a thoughtfully curated new spot, we definitely recommend giving One BI a shot. We’re glad we did!
