- SSimonToronto / Ontario •4 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoWe visited Enigma Yorkville for a birthday dinner and had a lovely experience overall. The service was warm, thoughtful, and highly professional throughout the evening. The ambiance was calm and elegant, making it ideal for a special occasion. We were fortunate to be the first guests to try a brand-new set of amuse-bouches in the lounge before dinner, which added a delightful surprise to the evening. Most of the courses on the 10-course Prestige Menu were beautifully presented and well-balanced in flavor—especially the pea mousse, scallop with caviar, and the foie gras dish. However, a few dishes—particularly the lobster, capocollo pork, and lamb shoulder—felt slightly underwhelming in terms of taste or texture, especially compared to the exceptional standard of the rest of the meal. The cocktails were creative and well-paired. Overall, Enigma offers a refined and memorable dining journey. I’d return again, perhaps trying a different seasonal menu.More infoEnigma YorkvillePrice: Very Expensive• International• Yorkville•4.9
- JJenVIPVancouver / British Columbia •18 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoVery cute restaurant with homey vintage vibes, fun playlist, and overall good food with a quirky twist. Oysters are outstanding, as are the fish cake and desserts (sticky toffee pudding and buttermilk panna cotta with stewed rhubarb). I loved the presentation and concept of the strip steak with olives, leeks, and ramps, but the execution could be refined.More infoDonna'sPrice: Expensive• Contemporary European• The Junction•4.9

- MMurrayVIPToronto / Ontario •4 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 22, 2025We went to Blu on Avenue Road for our 3rd anniversary dinner and had a quiet romantic table on the ground floor. Staff went out of their way to explain the menu and our choices. It was clear that they were very loyal and loved their jobs and the place. They did give us some quiet time too. Then we were told the restaurant was about to close because of a huge rent increase at their lease renewal. We hope the new location opening on King Street West will come close to the beautiful spacious building on Avenue Road. Even if it does not we will be there because the food and service is so good. We each had an amazing scallop appetizer and we were glad we did not split it and had our own. For main courses the pasta, lamb and beef tenderloin were cooked to perfection. We were too full for ordering dessert but they brought a tiramisu to share and we were able to finish before leaving happy. We can’t wait to return to the new location in May.More infoBlu RistorantePrice: Expensive• Italian• Yorkville•4.7
