Thomas Makris, from the Island of Skopelos, fell in love when he met Helen Babalos. They met at Orestes Greek restaurant in 1974, while on a Greek dancing tour of North America. Soon after their marriage, they had a vision to open a place like no other in Vancouver; a Greek restaurant where everyone is family; where everyone receives a consistent experience created by delicious homemade authentic food and impeccable service. In 1984 they opened Anatoli Souvlaki in north Vancouver.     We had a very pleasant experience last night. It was worth the wait to get the exact table location I had requested, as we enjoy the flamenco dancing as well as the delicious food! The server was very attentive, as well.

    Our dinner was delicious, but what really made our evening exceptional was our server, Aiden. He remembered our names, as well as details about each of us. He seemed genuinely interested in us and his recommendations for menu items were spot on. His personal attention made our dining experience memorable.     We went to this hidden gem for our anniversary. Had no trouble getting parking, which usually puts me in a good mood for the rest of the night. The four of us had a couple of beers and cocktails, nothing special but the service was quick. We started of our meals with 2 orders of pita with dip (outstanding), as well as an order of Kalamari. The dip that came with the Kalamari was very enjoyable. Dinner was 2 orders of Pork Brizolakia, 1 order of the chicken rice bowl & Moussaka. I can't recommend this restaurant enough (especially as my wife had no complaints.lol). Good time was had by all.
