Sushi Enya is a Japanese sushi restaurant that first opened in the heart of Little Tokyo in Downtown, LA. After five years of perseverance and experimentation in Downtown, LA, we opened our second location in beautiful Old Town Pasadena. Our third location, which opened in 2018, is located in the beach city of Marina Del Rey.Our owner Chef Kimiyasu Enya trained for over 10 years in Japan to perfect his craft.It is our goal to ensure that quality remains consistent and every experience is enjoyable for all guests.

Kappo (かっぽう / 割烹) means cooking food with knives and fire. In simple Japanese terms, means cutting, chopping and cooking food with knife, and so on. And means boiling, cooking food with fire. So the combination of these two Japanese characters are a different expression of cooking with a knife and fire. Kappo is a dish that is improvised by the customer's order and can be enjoyed at the counter or at the table just in front of the kitchen without much formality. From now on, Kappo will be held in Miyabi restaurant, Santa Monica. Miyabi (雅) is one of the traditional Japanese aesthetic ideals, meaning "elegance," "graceful" and "courtliness". There are a lot of complexities of Japanese cuisine, including not only food, but also visitors, music, and order of food. So, there is a burden because of the needlessly cumbersome, expensive, and unnecessary formalities, and we focus on foods that are only used to show off the cooking skills of the chefs and customers.

    Sushi in The South Bay at a convenient location in a strip mall in El Segundo. This place has it all including Bento Boxes after 6:00PM! We started with a tuna sashimi in white truffle oil and citrus that was delicious. Crispy crab roll might have been a bit too crispy but was tasty nonetheless. The Premium Chirashi Bowl was excellent, too. For dessert, don’t miss the olive oil cream rolled in fresh pistachio nuts. Simple sake and beer list. Very reasonable pricing but as with all sushi restaurants everything adds up. My only suggestion would be to use a larger shrimp for the tempura. Otherwise, this place is a little gem and we can’t wait to return. Be sure to ask for Roberto who will happily guide you through the menu. Not many terrific servers left but this guy knows how to treat a customer well.
