The Japanese film Tampopo was marketed as the world’s first “ramen western”. It’s the story of two truck drivers, Goro & Gun, who use their culinary expertise to change the fate of a struggling noodle shop. Those two characters' passion for noodle-making lives on at Calgary’s 150-seat noodle bar — led by executive chef Ryusuke Araki.     Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and this restaurant did not disappoint. Decor and ambiance were very fun and trendy, and the dining area was super lively. The servers are incredibly knowledgeable and were highly attentive to our dietary restrictions (allergies). We had the momos (chicken and veg), gyozagna, and tonkatsu with curry and carbonara. Each dish was excellent and we loved the creative twists on classic dishes. My only regret is not having enough room for dessert! We will definitely be back in the near future.

    The Yakitori Omakase experience was so cool! Honestly the most fun I have probably ever had at a restaurant and the courses were unbelievably good! Great service, super cool to interact with the chef as well!

    We love Satsuki. The food is consistently fresh and flavourful. All the raw fish high quality and the prices are reasonable.
