Best Izakayas in Maida Vale

Innovative menu. We selected Japanese food, although it wasn’t the traditional food we have experienced in Japan. The service was friendly and helpful as we ordered dishes to share and with advice, just the right amount of food. The dishes were beautifully presented and the food delicious. My sole criticism of the restaurant was the thumping music playing in the background. Not too loud to make it difficult to have a conversation but sufficiently irritating that we decided not to linger over dessert and coffee.

Brunch was delicious but we both felt it lacked variety in choice. We were left craving some more veg or salad. Maybe a different starter option like sushi or fried squid would be good. The food and service was too notch regardless.
