Paisans is an Italian word for friends, but to us, it also means family. Family has always been at the center of Paisans’ beginning and the driving force behind its success. Paisans Pizza was started by Luigi, an immigrant to the United States, in 1985. In a small corner store in Cicero, Illinois, Luigi started making pizzas out of a household kitchen oven. Shortly after, Luigi was joined by his son Pete, fulfilling orders one at a time using hand-written tickets hanging from clothespins in their tiny kitchen. Pete spent the next 30 years expanding the business, while also refining the Paisans brand and menu. He did this while always remembering what got us here: our famous pizza and award-winning wings.     TKO again! This brings the win streak from two locations to 0 losses and 6 TKO’s! Our server David was attentive, and knowledgable. Our every need was met as he liaised between my date and I and the kitchen, who also deserves their moment in the spotlight! My date went for the vodka sauce and sausage, where as I had the scampi shrimp. Both dishes arrived and stimulated the senses! Beautiful to look at, fragrant, and delicious! My wine suggestion matched beautifully with the shrimp and the sauce; and we wrapped things up with a cappuccino and the vanilla bean panna cotta to share. Everything was exceptional from the moment we arrived and were greeted at the door to the moment we said our thank yous and goodbyes as we left. As always, we are looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for having us!
