Excellent food and service. We visited for a friends birthday and they came out with a surprise for her which we weren’t expecting, and it really made her evening.

Great location, lovely ambience, lovely food if on the pricey side.

Menu changed . 2 of us went with having a particular meal in mind but is no longer available. I chose flat bread . The issue was that the bread was so thin and hard it would not cut , I had to tear apart , but was crisp and dry. However I did not complain. Everything else was good .

Today the dinner was better than before! The carrots were sautéed the best yet! The roast potatoes were crispier … everytjobg was just better! The beef and pork on our dinners was gorgeous…. Service was fab Matty is such a canny lad! We are now being served by the lovely staff thanks Carter and Fitch

SPOT ON as always. Dined at Bistro many times when living in Durham for 50 years. Now we go to Bistro to dine with friends whenever we visit Durham. Reliably GOOD😊
