Best Irish Restaurants in Ballybane

Lovely restaurant - great views over the city and delicious food. Service was friendly and prompt. Overall, was a bit pricey but this is nice place for a special occasion or date night. The feather blade beef was fantastic! Highly recommend.

Amazing ambience. The staff is very pleasant and professional. Starters and mains are to die for. The beef was made perfectly, the potato grating almost made me cry. So are cocktails. Made in house and not premixed. But the desserts... The end of the evening and the desserts were just sweet. Pistachios didn't have their amazing flavour,everything was just covered with sweetness... Basil and strawberries seem like a good connection on paper but basil just overtook every other flavour in my plate. It was a perplexing experience.

Very nice gastropub. There are not too many tables so be sure to book in advance. Service staff was attentive and fun, bartender mixes perfectly. Local patrons are not shy striking up a fun conversation that may be as good as the food. The food is top notch for a good price. We had lamb ( maybe as good as lamb I’ve had outside of New Zealand) and grass fed steak with some incredibly little potatoes that were so tender and flavorful yet were not swimming in a ton of butter or salt- so simple but so good. All was perfectly cooked to our order and wonderful flavor. Also had the tomato and tapenade appitizer. The tapenade was incredible with their bread- order one per person you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend this place.

Had an amazing experience at the G Lounge for our Fathers Day lunch. It was really special and my husband was even treated to a drink from the lady that served us our desserts! I wish I had gotten her name so I could give her a mention as she was so kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the food was amazing. Will definitely be returning .

We did the small plates and had the chicken wings, which were outstanding the goat cheese. One was the best. We were lucky enough to be there on a Nike where they had traditional music playing during dinner love the whole atmosphere.
