    The food was incredible on its own, but our waiter, Shiv, elevated the experience even more. His knowledge of the menu and ability to supply recommendations allowed us to try new dishes. When we return to London, we will return to Benares.

    We have been to Jamavar many times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. On this occasion the food was excellent. The waiter was very attentive and served us well. However the Maitre D was inattentive and offhand. On arrival I was seated and a few minutes later he came over and asked what we wanted, however we had not been given a menu! When I asked for one he appeared to get very annoyed with us. During our meal the table next to us was cleaned with spray disinfectant spoiling our food taste. At the end of the meal when I used the bathroom there was no soap. This is not you expect of a restaurant in this price bracket.
