- BBillVIPChicago / Illinois •4 reviews5.0Dined on May 1, 2025Spice Symphony has been on my list to try since reading a NYT article from October 2022, "The 25 Essential Dishes to Eat in New York City". #11 on the list is the Chili Chicken at SS (the dry version). My wife and I were in town, from Chicago, for a wedding last weekend. We got to the restaurant just as the kitchen was closing for lunch service but the GM, Nasir, was kind enough to accommodate us. He stood by our table to answer any questions and to help us quickly place our order. We had the Chili Chicken and the Lamb Vindaloo. Both were exceptional. You can read about the chicken dish in the NYT article. The Vindaloo had an extra dimension of flavor from the chilies which are soaked in cider vinegar and ground with garlic and cumin before being cooked with loads of generously-sized chunks of lamb. We can't wait to get back to try more dishes from a restaurant serving a unique blend of Chinese and Indian cuisines.More infoSpice Symphony – 50th St.Price: Moderate• Indian• Midtown East•4.7
