Bletchley’s Golden curry was opened in 1971 and now the Golden curry is celebrating its GOLDEN JUBLEE. When it opened, Milton Keynes was only 4 years old and much of it was still green fields containing real cows for Liz Leyh’s. In 1971, the Golden Curry was the first Indian restaurant in the town. Remarkably, and oddly, a high proportion of Britains Indian restaurants were open by emigrants from the town of Sylhet in Eastern Bangladesh.Fifty is an excellent age if you are a bottle of wine and the same is true of restaurants. Two thirds of restaurants fail within 5 years. To thrive for 50 years means that you’ve been tested time and time again, and never found wanting. Over the last half a century, hundreds of thousands of locals and folk from far and wide have enjoyed the warmth of the Golden Curry’s welcome. The tasty, keenly priced food, and the restaurants relaxed ambience. It has been word of mouth recommendations from you, it’s ever loyal customers, Thank you from Golden Curry
