Best Halal Restaurants in Malvern East

We had the pleasure of dining at Elephant Corridor on Saturday night. From the time of making our booking it became very apparent that the staff were committed to the experience being as enjoyable as possible. Mid afternoon we received a text advising that parking was difficult in the precinct and they provided three accessible parking options which was greatly appreciated on abusy Staurday night. Our first interaction with the staff face to face reflected that they were proud of their restaurant and this continued with ALL staff ALL night. They were so welcoming and friendly and incredibly helpful in assisting us as first time diners in their restaurant. Service was efficient but not rushed and their enquiries as to how we were going felt very sincere and the smiles on their faces when we expressed how we were enjoying the dining experience were warm and genuine. Then we come to the food. We ordered Spicy Fish croquettes and Seekh Kebabs as starters and they were both delicious with a slight preference to the Kebabs but we would definitely order both again. For mains the Salt and Pepper Calamari - Sri Lankan Style was suggested by staff and was amazing. It was an OMG dining moment. We also enjoyed a chicken rice curry dish which was also delicious. We are not normally dessert people but on the recommendation of staff we tried the cake of the day (I wish I could remember the name) with ice cream and it was a wonderful conclusion to our meal. The next day we had a family gathering and I couldn’t stop raving about our night. We will definitely be making the Elephant Corridor a regular for us. The staff should be incredibly proud of their restaurant and the welcoming Sri Lankan experience they give their guests.
