As usual the service was excellent, Emma kept herself very busy at the same time as giving wonderful service to customers. The food was absolutely delicious. It was my partners first visit here & was delighted with everything which I can honestly admit is very unusual as well as a relief!

Roast beef was good value relative to other places and absolutely delicious and a generous portion. The gravy was particularly lovely, spot on. My pregnant wife asked for edges of beef so they were more well done, she was accommodated without query or concern, all great. Request for suitable space to accommodate 18 month old in high chair met with no quibble, all sorted quickly and no fuss. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was for having to ask three times for water to be brought to the table despite the pub not being busy at all. Overall, lovely, we will be going again!

What an absolutely amazing roast dinner, massive portions which are clearly locally sourced, the plates came full of meat, stuffing, roast parsnips, a huge Yorkshire pudding and the most delicious roast potatoes and then the veg came separately and was cooked to perfection cabbage, carrot & swede mash, tenderstem broccoli and some cauliflower cheese, we ended up taking a footy bag home and couldn’t fit one of your lovely desserts although they looked delicious, staff very happy and helpful, amazing atmosphere and considering they were very busy everything run smoothly, we shall definitely be coming again, many thanks
