- JJoSurrey •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWhat an absolutely amazing roast dinner, massive portions which are clearly locally sourced, the plates came full of meat, stuffing, roast parsnips, a huge Yorkshire pudding and the most delicious roast potatoes and then the veg came separately and was cooked to perfection cabbage, carrot & swede mash, tenderstem broccoli and some cauliflower cheese, we ended up taking a footy bag home and couldn’t fit one of your lovely desserts although they looked delicious, staff very happy and helpful, amazing atmosphere and considering they were very busy everything run smoothly, we shall definitely be coming again, many thanksMore infoThe Cricketers InnPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Bishops Waltham•4.7
- DDavidLondon •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoWe visited The Bailiwick on Saturday to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel incredibly welcome, with attentive service and thoughtful touches that made my mum’s birthday feel really special. The food was simply outstanding. We started with the Isle of Wight Tomato Tartlet and the Twice Baked Cheese Soufflé—both were absolutely divine. The tartlet was bursting with rich tomato flavour, delicately balanced and beautifully presented. The soufflé was perfectly light, indulgently cheesy, and full of comforting depth—a true highlight. For the mains and desserts, the standard remained just as high, with every plate looking like a work of art and tasting even better. The kitchen clearly takes pride in seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, and it shines through in every dish. The wine list is excellent, and the staff were happy to help with pairings, offering suggestions that really enhanced the meal without being intrusive. Throughout, the service was faultless—friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. The Bailiwick manages to feel both refined and relaxed, making it a perfect setting for a special occasion. It was the ideal spot to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and we left with full hearts and very happy appetites. A huge thank you to the entire team for making the day so memorable—we can’t wait to return.More infoThe Bailiwick Free HousePrice: Very Expensive• Gastro Pub• Egham•4.8
