The Seven Stars is a 16th century country inn situated in the heart of Surrey, close to both Dorking and Reigate, with Gatwick airport seven miles away. It has wealth of character which includes a large inglenook fireplace, beamed ceilings, recently renovated gardens and patios along with ample parking.An extension that now forms the main dining area was completed in 1996 and won the British Heritage Development Award for that year.The Seven Stars has a great atmosphere, we have strived to keep it a village pub where friends and locals meet up to wine, dine and and enjoy freshly cooked food, sourced from the local area. Join Landlord Stuart and Head Chef David for a weekend breakfast, daily lunch or supper at the Wattenden Arms. Built over 150 years ago we are a hidden gem close to the famous Kenley Aerodrome. Our “finest hour” was most definitely during the Battle of Britain in World War II, when we were commandeered by the RAF to serve as an auxiliary mess for Fighter Command at RAF Kenley. Today we serve a refreshing range of lager, ale & wines and a menu that reflects the great British pub, using fresh ingredients all cooked to order. We welcome the local & wider community, walkers, cyclists & four legged friends. The bar is open daily from 11am-10.30pm and food times are detailed in our business hours below.
