Best Gastro Pubs in Ware

Dinner in the restaurant at the Parakeet is fantastic. No dish is ordinary. The whole experience is then lifted another level because the staff are so lovely. It’s not cheap, as the fun is in ordering lots of different plates (tapas style for sharing) and this can add up £££ but ultimately it’s worth it. I wish I could go all the time but tend to save it for a special occasion.

Lovely deco with very good ambience. Food was very good but just one small point I had the mixed grill I should have been asked how I liked my steak. Medium rare wasn’t really to my liking but the steak was still just about ok. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going again in the future

Excellent service and experience at the Sword Inn Hand for my birthday. The service and food was excellent. The waiters were pretty dishy too 😂

Really lovely food. I had a fish curry - was gorgeous. My mother had a steak that she loved too. We then had the cheese to share. Lovely cheese but I don’t understand why some restaurants serve cold cheese. Luckily it was a warm day and we let it ‘warm up’ before we ate it. But shame us Brits still get the room temperature for cheese wrong.

Loved it, will be back immediately. Steak was slightly over but didn’t affect how great they tasted!
