The original pub stood at No 3, South King Street, which is now part of the Shopping Centre. Don’t be disheartened by this, Sinnott’s has one of the rarest and most genuine pub atmospheres in Dublin. Until recently, it was believed that the pub was first licenced in 1840, however, new evidence shows that a licence first appeared in 1763! In 1840, the Malone family took over (no relation to Molly), and by 1850s Laurence Malone had made a deal with the Coach Office for the Enniskerry – Roundwood Coach service. Unfortunately, this service was never regarded as the most punctual one, often leaving well after the designated departure times, since both the driver and the passenger took full advantage of the pub’s hospitality.

The Bleeding Horse is a historically significant public house located in Upper Camden Street, Dublin, Ireland. It dates at least back to the 17th century, and was located on St. Kevin’s Port (now Camden St.) at the junction of two important highways leading out of the city.On one side was Charlotte St., leading to Ranelagh and Donnybrook; on the other side was Old Camden St., which joined Richmond St. and led to Rathmines and Cullenswood. Both of these old streets disappeared during the renovations in the 1990s. The present building dates from 1871; the interior was renovated in 1992.There are (at least) two explanations for the name. One is that when a horse got the “staggers” it was bled by a farrier at the inn. Another is that the name of the pub comes from an incident during the Battle of Rathmines in 1649, when a wounded horse fled from the battle.

The Bottle Boy began life in 1860, and was primarily known as a Spirit Grocers. A quirk of a Spirit Grocers was that you couldn’t sit down and beer was sold in bottles brought to you by The Bottle Boy. Whilst we’ve retained tonnes of the original detail – like the cornices, fireplaces, flooring – we’ve added in cosy snugs and lots of seating, perfect for a pint of plain. So why not grab a pre-gig or pre-show drink at The Bottle Boy before attending a gig at 3Arena or a show at Bord Gais Energy Theatre. The Bottle Boy is a proper pub with snugs, open fire, a courtyard – and a barbers. The Green Dolphin Barbers are set up and on hand for a blade, a fade or whatever you’re having yourself.

Fantastic meal yet again in the cow. The staff are so helpful and friendly moving us to a better table for comfort, giving us information and suggestion on menu choices but mostly so friendly and welcoming. One diner has new dietary restrictions and the staff could not have been more accommodating - the menu choice provides for this. This is such great restaurant and enjoyable experience and caters for every age group .

It was our third time here, we had a meal here in November, loved it. Returned in January for a company do, onion soup on the second occasion was not good, sooooo thick, we were embarrassed as we had recommended it to our staff. Last night we thought we'd visit again, love the 7th floor, however drinks were very slow even though the bar was practically empty. Food this time wasn't good at all, the seafood soup looked amazing but it was a very thin broth, fish & chips was way overdone. My husband's pie was soooo dry. Not sure we'll return 😕
