    We have eaten here before and the experience was outstanding in every aspect as one would expect for the price.This time we were not quite as impressed. We were initially seated right in front of the kitchen on the inside of the restaurant even though there were 2 tables being cleared on the side with the view. When we asked if we could have one of those tables instead we were initially told no, but then asked to sit for a few minutes and moved to the better table which was appreciated. My husband has a tree nut allergy and the tomato salad comes on a pine nut ricotta base, his came without anything underneath, just the vegetables and dressing. I would have thought the chefs could have come up with something more interesting than that. For the main course my beef was ordered medium, and the waitress put it down saying ‘cooked medium as ordered’ although it was obviously very rare. Although we appreciated the significant discount at the end again this was just not the experience you expect from Mission Hill. Lastly, the timing of the wine pairing service was off - often coming before we had finished the previous course, making us feel a bit rushed, but then having to wait quite a while for the next course to arrive. All small things that might be overlooked if one wasn’t paying such a premium price.
