- JJeffreyVIPNew York City •88 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThis is my second trip to The Dabney and it was as excellent as my first trip. The tasting menu has gone from 8 to 5 courses but there is no lack of fantastic food here. Terrific combinations of seafood and unexpected flavors along with the smoky tastes from the open wood fire are a special experience. The space is so warm and cozy, it redefines what a Michelin Star dining experience should be. The meats are spectacular as well. So many great dishes. Highly recommend the Grilled Sloop Point Oysters, The Tuna Pork Rinds, Scallop crudo, Fried Sugar Toads (it ain’t what you think and it’s better than you can imagine), the Chesapeake Rockfish, Fried Porgy (a real highlight) and the Lamb were all perfectly done and presented beautifully. The staff is attentive and friendly but never rushed. The cocktails are outstanding as well. The Old Fashioned is one of the best I’ve had. Prices are not for the faint of heart but you get top notch value for the money. I’ll be back here next trip down to DC. I wish this place was in NYC.More infoThe DabneyPrice: Very Expensive• American• Shaw•4.7

- MMikeVIPWashington, D.C. Area •5 reviews4.0Dined on Jun 2, 2025The food and prices were fine and the service was very good. It was very quiet making it a great place for conversation, a feature you don't always find anymore. My only issue was that, prior to my arrival, I had no idea the restaurant was in a hotel. Yes, it's the hotel lobby restaurant for he local Hilton hotel. While that would not normally be a problem, when you're meeting a young lady for dinner, it may possibly send the wrong message. I told her that I had been completely unaware that the restaurant was in a hotel. In fact, before our date, I'd actually told her that I'd never before eaten there and that I'd chosen it based on reviews. That helped smooth the ruffled feathers. Luckily for me, she was very understanding.More infoHärthPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Tysons Corner / McLean•4.3
