Best European Restaurants in Sutherland

I had a lovely meal at Encasa last night with my kids. The service was friendly and the wait staff were amazing getting us out the door in time for a show. The food was lovely and generously portioned and the sangria was light and delicious. We were given a lovely cosy corner which was perfect for my active kids who didn’t disturb others but we were able to enjoy the ambience of a busy European style restaurant. I deducted one star as I felt the mussels were slightly under seasoned but all up, a fabulous experience.

This a lovely restaurant. Location is right on the river with views from all tables. Food was wonderful with a varied menu. Staff very attentive and thoughtful. Highly recommend a visit to Angelos

Everything was great. My only feedback is to have more servers or a system in place where they ask if you'd like to order something right away (coffee etc) and then return when all guests have arrived to the table or another order. After being seated, your front reservations lady came back to check in if I needed anything and I asked for a server, she said she would send someone. No one arrived and I couldn't get anyone's attention. Staff are otherwise really lovely and spot on. One even remembered to return 15mins later to take my sisters lunch order instead of us calling out for someone. That was great! This isn't the first time.

This is the kind of restaurant we need more of in Sydney. Definitely the "neighbourhood gem" category. There's real skill in the kitchen and they're turning out really well executed and presented quality plates of simply tasty food. It's not made for your instagram - it's made for your mouth and tummy! Service is super friendly and efficient. You know you're in a good place when the waitress says "no, don't order that extra bread- you already get bread with the dish you ordered"!!!
