Since 2011, our cozy little restaurant in Vancouver’s vibrant Commercial Drive neighborhood has served thoughtful, creative Japanese dishes. Led by award-winning Chef Akira Kishimoto, our close-knit team creates a warm, casual atmosphere, focused on delicious food. We blend traditional techniques with West Coast inspiration. Our menu features delicious hot dishes like okonomiyaki and udon, fresh sushi like nigiri, rolls, our signature oshizushi and chirashi, and ever-changing seasonal dishes like tempura, and gomaae. We balance premium Japanese imports with sustainable, local farmed and foraged ingredients. A small selection of BC wines, local sake and thoughtfully selected imports accompany our menu. We are incredibly grateful for the accolades received over the last 15 years – such as Gold for Best Japanese at the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards 2024 and Silver at Great Kitchen Party Vancouver 2023.
