We’ve been to Mari twice now (the first time was right after they opened and were still a hidden gem in Hell’s Kitchen) and the food and the chef’s table experience have been absolutely incredible both times. There’s a reason they have three Michelin Stars. Yes, it’s a special-occasion meal, but it is 100% worth it.

Very interesting and tasty Korean food served in an elegant atmosphere. In the main dining room, only a 5-course Tasting Menu ($150 currently) is offered. Courses 2,3,4 & 5 offer some options within themselves thereby covering a wide-range of food types (Seafood, Duck, Beef etc). Good wine options by the glass and as wine-pairing with the food. Good, helpful service.

Food never disappoints. It’s one of the very few places that can perfect the rice in the hot stone-pot. And staff is friendly — I always feel welcome there.
