Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Aldgate

We needed to eat early so opted for the Fantastico early menu. We had starters and mains. It was excellent. Beautifully prepared and presented, everything very fresh. We ended up having dessert as well - delicious! The staff were relaxed and didn’t push us out the door even though we stayed longer than expected. Can easily recommend.

Piccolino were excellent at understanding the request to change the booking date at very short notice and understood the guest changes on the day. I could not fault them for customer understanding and even their central switch board operator was helpful and professional. On the day, we did not order food as it was just some drinks. However food is always great here - fresh and served timely. On the day we ordered drinks. I think there was a little confusion with some of the orders and one member of staff was a bit untimely with service but overall friendly and understanding. The atmosphere is always wonderful and so is the ambience. It’s a brilliant place to sit outside and the heaters are strong and powerful for when you are a bit chilly. I have enjoyed visiting in the past and enjoyed our visit for our book club.

Food was fantastic, their sauce is so fresh and the pizza oven doesn’t disappoint. The dining room is nice but wish it was a little more scenic. Without a doubt worth a visit.
