Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Lincolnwood

The restaurant was fantastic, and the food was phenomenal. We started with the wood-fired table bread, which was incredibly pillowy and delicious, along with the roasted octopus. The calamari was prepared in the standard way, and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce for the calamari reminded me of a chipotle aioli. For my entrée, I ordered the orecchiette. The minced lamb was flavorful and very filling, but I will mention that the dish was quite oily, which was the only downside. Throughout the meal, I enjoyed the Black Lotus drink, which was my favorite.

Absolutely fabulous experience! Great wait staff, beautiful place, nice background music selection that didn’t drown you out. And the FOOD!!! All incredible and larger portions than we expected. The pumpkin pasta and the orrachiette were especially delicious. The S’mores Crème Brûlée was rich and decadent. We will definitely return!

Absolute best thin crust pizza and Caesar salad we have ever had. Our server was incredible. Very chill, old school vibe. We plan to go back asap!

This was our first visit. The service was superb in all aspects. The food is inventive and well prepared. Not all dishes were fully successful but all displayed creativity. The deserts wrere wonderful. The ambience was very comfortable and inviting. All staff. were friendly and welcoming. A word of caution. The City of Chicago in their infinite wisdom has installed bike lanes on Milwaukee Ave. and effectively reduced street parking by 50 percent. There is valet parking next door and save yourself aggravation by using it.

Excellent service, unique old world decor, low low noise - wood and carpet does that versus high decibel marble and glass in newer restaurants. Food was outstanding . Had great glass of red wine.
