Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in German Village

Three of us went for my birthday dinner tonight. It was the best meal I have had since I last ate at the Biltmore in Phoenix,AZ. The presentation was amazing, the waiter “Matthew” was friendly and knew the menu well, excellent at explaining the intricacies of how the dishes were prepared, was always there when we needed something and attentive to our table without being obtrusive. He was the perfect waiter. I had the sea scallops which were perfectly sautéed and served with a variety of steamed vegetables. We all started with the “Heirloom Beet salad” which was so good that Matthew was kind enough to get us a print out of the professional recipe! To finish off an outstanding meal, I had the Tiramisu, which although extremely rich, I was able to finish every last bite! A fantastic evening was had by all! I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation!

Excellent from start to finish! This is quickly becoming one of our top restaurants when visiting Columbus. We took our OSU son and his girlfriend here and they loved it as well. Our party of 4 each had a different entree and everyone agreed, all delicious! Service was wonderful, water and drinks kept full and desserts were yummy. We highly recommend this gem!

Pre theatre dinner. The grilled salmon and veggies were tasty and healthy. My dining companion had the lasagna and chicken parm combo, and he loved it. Only bad thing was that the previous diners unscrewed the top to the parmesan cheese, and when we went to use it, it went all over the meal. Luckily, he likes cheese, but it would have been over the top if he didn't like the cheese. The server was gracious and offered to bring new food, but he accepted the cheese without issue. Maybe just have the servers/bus boys check the cheese shakers after every table leaves.

Such a wonderful restaurant! Fantastic seafood, classic Italian dishes, and creative cuisine. Happy hour specials are some of the best in town! Great cocktails and top-tire wines. Service is always outstanding. They do a great job with dietary restrictions. This place is a gem in a city with a lot of great dining.
