ROOH was a total surprise, I was not expecting an Indian restaurant to be so progressively innovative. Everything was an explosion of flavors like I’ve never had before and a beautiful work of art Our server, Aaron was outstanding and really cared about us like he was welcoming into his home as well as the lovely general manager/owner.. Rooh is a heavenly Indian delight !!

Chaat Bhavan, Mountain View, about the best value for money around these parts these days. The restaurant is clean (mostly) and large and is set up well. The food is outstanding and priced very reasonably by local standards. The service could be better in that the people could be better trained, show more enthusiasm for their jobs and seem interested in the well being and happiness of their customers instead of their current attitude which is that this is just a job. At least that is how I read it but I could be completely wrong. I have previously mentioned that this restaurant needs to reconfigure their bathrooms so that there are a couple of sinks available. Overall, the people are very accommodating and cope quite well with the large crowds on weekends.

We’ve been to Rasa several times. Overall, we always enjoyed the dishes and found the drinks interesting. The ambiance and noisy level downstairs are fine, but the acoustics upstairs is very bad and not conducive to conversations, especially among people with some hearing impairment.

We went there for Jamai Soshthi special buffet. Each & every item on the menu was delicious and had authentic Kolkata cuisine flavor. They did struggle a bit with the crowd, but it was a special occasion so understandable. Hopefully next year they will prepare accordingly. Anyway the food and service was really good and we will come back to try more options from the ala carte menu.
