Best Contemporary French Restaurants in Malden

The food, wine and ambiance were all excellent. We are so lucky to have 80 Thoreau in Concord!

This was our first time at the restaurant. We were surprised that there were not a lot of people there on a Saturday night, at the busy time with graduations around. The restaurant is quite spacious and nicely appointed in a contemporary style. We enjoyed our dinner a lot. Appetizers were really delicious, the dips were great and each of the three very different in flavor. We were sharing them among 4 of us, and wished they came with more pita bread, but it was not a problem when we asked for more. Artichokes were scrumptious, and focaccia had a nice texture. We ordered branzino and cod dishes, as well as chicken and lamb. They were all very yummy, well prepared and served. Lavender chocolate cake was the best desert we ordered. Overall, we had a great time and even overstayed past the closing time, the staff was very gracious about it. Thank you very much!

This place is a true hidden gem! We found this place because it was close to our hotel. OMG! The food and coffees were fabulous! We started with a breadbasket of pastries (butter croissant, chocolate croissant and a butter baguette tartine) plus coffees. We also had the Duck Eggs Benedict, Parisian Omelette, and Sauvage Mama Breakfast. All meals were excellent. As an FYI, the meals were large and would recommend sharing. Restaurant is a little small. The outside seating would be great but it was raining while we were there so outdoor seating wasn't an option. We wanted to go back for another brunch but couldn't make another reservation. And no wonder, the food is fabulous.

I have been to Michelin star restaurants all over the world. This is every bit their equal. Perfectly prepared food. Outstanding service. Superb wine list.
