Best Contemporary European Restaurants in Maidstone

Fantastic steaks and entrées for a Wednesday steak night. Great ambiance and the dining room was warm, inviting and buzzing with chatter, laughter and all-round bonhomie. Staff were excellent- friendly, attentive, helpful and fast.

Outstanding food and wine but comes at a price. Not for the faint hearted

We had an amazing meal last night. The ambience was as cool as ever. We are regulars at this fantastic establishment, but hadn't been here for almost a year since we moved interstate to live. The staff were so attentive and caring of our needs and wishes, that when they saw our reservation, they put aside the last bottle of our favourite wine for us to have with our meal, and they remembered our usual food order! As for the food itself, the steak au poivre was as delicious as ever. It confirmed The European as our favourite restaurant in all of Australia.

Enjoyed the visit overall - staff were lovely and attentive, the food was delicious but a little bit slow between starters and the bigger dishes. Ambiance was great. Only note is that the wines were quite expensive - the cheapest glass was $20 and would have appreciated more of a range in terms of cost. I find that most places will offer glasses at varying cost between $16-$24

The environment is quite nice and there aren't many people. The steak I ordered was medium but already had a burnt taste. The fries that came with it were very delicious.
