In a past life, I owned a restaurant which served extraordinary food and can say the Smoke and Salt is a wonderful restaurant. The open kitchen was a treat as we got to watch the dishes prepared and chat with the very accomplished Chef Chris. Flavor combinations were creative and well crafted. High quality presentation. Wine pairings by our host were well thought out and clearly described. Worth the fare and then some. I don’t know why this cute bistro is not booked out every night! A favourite now!

Food very nice, tried the curry and my wife the burger.

The menu was straightforward and easy to understand. I ordered the Huevos Divorciados which was delicious. It was very busy and the person seating and serving us, Chris, was really helpful and informative. I really like this place apart from one thing…the noise level was just too high for me to have a decent conversation with my friend. There are things that restaurants can do to reduce noise levels (sound absorption wall hangings, etc.) which would take a really good restaurant up to a 5 star place! The food here is good with little like it in the area…just needs to sort the space in terms of sound.
